Margret Muthoni Munene

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved matriarch Margret Muthoni Munene following a short illness bravely borne.

She was the beloved wife of Dishon Munene Kanyoni. Mother of John Mwangi Kanyoni, the late Loise Wangui, Gerald Kihiu, Gladys Njeri, Mary Wawitima, Joseph Kiragu, Susan Njoki and George Githinji. Grandmother of Dishon Munene, Hon. Margaret Muthoni Mwangi, Carol, Kelvin, Gituro, Margaret Muthoni, Faith, Mungai, Kiarie and many more. She was a great grandmother of Ethan, Kimberly, Bradley, Nathan, Ariana and many more.

Sister of the late George Githinji, the tate VVilliam Wachira, the late VVanjiru, the late Wanja, Njoki, Mureithi, Wangombe, Wangare and Nyambura. She was a valued cousin, aunt, friend and mentor to many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and burial arrangements at her home in Eastleigh, Witima and All Saints Cathedral daily from 5:00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Kabati on Friday 12th September 2025 at 7.00 am for a funeral service at Witima Catholic Church -Othaya at 10:00 a.m. The burial will follow thereafter at her home in Kahuro village,Witima- Othaya, Nyeri.
