Martha Nyambura Gikingo

We regret to announce the death of Martha Nyambura Gikingo, that occurred on 4th July 2025 after a short illness at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Kariu Mugweru and the late Ruth Wanjeri.

Wife of the late David Macharia Gikingo. Mother of John Gikingo, Esther Muthoni, Shumi Rose-Emily Miskowicz, the late Kennedy Kariu, George Gatei, Zipporah Wanjiru, Emily Wambaire, Tabtha Wangechi and Charles Mwai.

Sister of the late Charles Mwai, Geoffrey Karoki, Joseph Waithaka, the late James Wahome, the late Ngari Kariu, James Muraguri, Teresia Wanjiru, David Kanene and Sammy Ngahu,

Sister in law of Emily Wambaire, the late Nyakairu Njau, Wangechi Muriuki, Joe Mwangi, Jane Wangui Mbugwa, Ruth Ndegwa and Sammy Gikingo. Grandmother to many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Burial and prayer meetings are taking place at their Nairobi home in Kahawa West, PCEA Kahawa West, Blue Springs Hotel and their rural home in Munanda Subukia, Nakuru County.

The cortege Leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru on 15th July 2025, for the burial ceremony at the family home in Munanda Village, Subukia Location, Nakuru County.
