MARY KATUMBI MUTUKU MUTHIANI

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt, MARY KATUMBI MUTUKU MUTHIANI, which occurred on 15th January 2026 after a short illness.

She was the loving wife of Mr. Jonathan Mutuku Muthiani, mother of Jacqueline Mbithe, Janet Katungwa, Benson Kilelo, and Ronald Mutiso and a cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren.

Mary was a retired teacher who faithfully served at Kyamuoso Primary School and Kyakathungu Primary School under the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). After retirement, she was the proprietor of Arise to Excel Academy. She was a devoted Christian and an active member of AIC ltaa,AIC Mariru Park, and the Women’s Guild (Ushirika).

The memorial service will be held at AlC Kasarani, Nairobi, on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, starting at 2:00 pm. The burial will take place on Friday, 23rd January 2026, at her rural home in ltaa Village, Ndolo Location, Ilima Division, Kilungu Sub-County, Makueni County.

Family and friends are meeting at her residence in Mariru Park Estate, Mwiki, Bluesprings Hotel along Thika Road, Nairobi, and at her rural home in Itaa Village.
