The Board and The management of NHIF together with the family regret to announce the untimely demise of the late Mary Lilian Waithira Gathenya Njine which occurred on Monday, 13th February 2023.

Beloved wife to Mr. Paul Njine Mbogo of Pine Trail Entertainment Limited. Mother to Michael Gathenya Njine and Andrew Muthinji Njine.

Daughter of the late Joseph Ephraim Gathenya and the late Julian Wangechi Gathenya. Daughter-in-law to Mr.& Mrs. Gabriel Mbogo Kinga’ri.

Sister to Ann Leah (Gakenia)-UK, Ida and Edward. Sister-in-law to Rose,Alice, the late Michael, Margaret, Josephat, Esther, Mary, Robert, Julia, Regina, Peter, Edward and Pauline.

Valued aunt to Julie, Collete, Shane, Isabelle, Zawadi, Scarlet, Gabriel, James, Anthony among others. Cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at their residence Buruburu Phase V Ext Bamboo Court number 32 from 7.00pm.

There will be a requiem mass on Tuesday, 21st February 2023 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church Kariobangi South at 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Hospital Mortuary on 24th February 2023 at 7.30am for a funeral service and burial at her matrimonial home Kamugunda Location in Kirinyaga County.
