It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Mary Nyokabi Maithori of Tumutumu Village, Mathira West Sub-county.

Daughter of the late James Ngetha Mathenge and the late Joyce Wanjugu Ngetha.

Dear wife of the late Johnson Maithori Maruga. She was a loving and dedicated mother of Joyce Gathigia, Caroline Ngima, Edward Maruga and Lucy Mumbi. Mother in-law of Josephat Nganga and Winnierose Gathoni.

Sister of Charles Mathenge, the late Grace Nyaguthii, her late twin Christopher Karumba, Caroline Njoki and the late Kennedy Kareiithi. Step sister of Agnes Mwaura, Mary Ngetha, Ann Ngetha amongst others.

Grandmother of Clarence, Charlene, Franklin, Jayden, Mercy, Wanjira, Gianna, Wanjiru, Mbira and Gathoni.

Family and friends are gathering daily at St. Andrew PCEA Church — Nairobi from 5:00 p.m and at her residence in Tumutumu Village, Karatina from 4:00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Jamii Hospital Mortuary – Karatina on Tuesday 19th August 2025 at 7:30 am.A funeral service will be held at Tumutumu PCEA church, Karatina and thereafter burial at her home in Tumutumu Village.
