Mary Wakuraya Kigwi

it is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Wakuraya Kigwi on 13th January 2026.

She was the wife of the late Francis Kigwi. Mother of David Kigwi, Susan Micere and the late Richard Mwagiru.

She was the daughter of the late Simeon Mwagiru Ciugu and the late Lydia Wanjiku Mwotia. Sister of the late Ruben Ciugu, the late David Mwotia, the late Marion Wanjiku, the late James Nderitu, the late Francis Macharia, Joseph Muraya, Annah Wangechi lrungu, the late Martha Wanyara and Nancy Ceera.

Daughter in law of David Kuriria Kirli and Martha Njure Kuriria.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in Jamuhuri Estate and her rural home Kianjege East in Kirinyaga County.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday 22nd January 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Adams Arcade and on Friday at Kainjege East Catholic Church, and burial at her home.
