Mary Wangui Maina

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mary Wangui Maina, former Teacher Mathaithi Primary School, which occurred on 12/03/2021, after a short illness.

Loving wife of John Maina Mwangi (former teacher Kianjogu Sec. School). Loving mother of Dr Keneth Githaiga (USA), Daniel Kamau (Nairobi) and Maureen Wanjiku (Laikipia University ). Mother-in-law of Grace Githaiga. Grandmother of Eden Wangui. Daughter of Kamau Mundia and Wahito Kamau. Daughter-in-law of the late Hannah Wanjiku and the late Richard Mwangi.

Sister of Joyce Kamau, Mundia Kamau, Mary Wangui Maina Grace Githinji, Mary Mutahi, Simon Kamau, Lydia Kamau, Margaret Kamau and Rachael Wairire. Sister-in-law of Rev. Cpt. Henry Kamau, Emily Miatu, Andrew Njoroge, the late Rev. Francis Gathu, Geoffrey Njuguna, Joseph Nyaga, David Mwaura.Aunt and cousin of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and burial preparations at their home, Gathuthi village, Kiangai Sub-location, Kirinyaga County at 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary – Karatina, on Friday 19/03/2021, at 8.00am for a funeral service at PCEA Kiambogo Church. The body will be laid to rest at their home near the Church.
