Matriarch Mama Pauline Angaya Indetie

1938 to 2025

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Lydia Pauline Angaya Indetie which occurred on 31st August 2025 after a short illness.

She was the loving wife of the late Rev. Can. Emeritus Jared Indetie Eshamwatta and mother of the late Jocelyne Guda, Dr. Douglas Indetie,Winnie Masheti, Livingstone Indetie, Joan Okeyo, the late George Indetie, Daniel Indetie, the late Grace Indetie, and Sarah Indetie.

She was a mother-in-law of the late Fredrick Guda, Dr. Reuben Masheti, Dr. Okeyo Mwai, Anna Hoka, Grace Wanjiru, Edith Imbayi, Jackline Lobo and Tabitha Kamau.

Grandmother of Tina, Mike, Lydia, Angela, Jedida,Winnie, Manu, the late Jay, Pauline Angaya, Jocelyne Moyi, Jared Jnr, Flora, M’mbasu, Pauline Masheti, Pauline Malikajamie, Sean,Austin, Shirleen, Kimberly, Emmanuel, lan, Annabelle, Collins, Brian, and Makungu.

Great grandmother of Keith, Melisa, Messi, Shelmith, Chanelle, Shirleen, Ethan, Nathan, Hazel, Yuri, Jayjay and Jabali.

Daily prayer meetings are being held at her home in Moi Estate Langata, House No. 24 from 5.00pm.

There will be a requiem mass on Tuesday 9th September at St Marks Church, Westlands beginning at 11.00am and another on Friday 12th September at St. Barnabas Mushimuli Church, Butere beginning at 9.30am.

The final Send Off will be performed at Shianda Primary School grounds beginning at 9.00am on Saturday 13th September followed by interment at her home at Shianda Mushimuli village.
