Mildred Nasimiyu Barasa

We regret to announce the death of Mildred Nasimiyu Barasa, Omurefu, which occurred on Monday 9th March 2026 at Annex Hospital, Nakuru where she was receiving treatment. Until her demise, Mildred was an Assistant Accountant General in the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.

Mother of Lavin Nandako of Daystar University, Christine Lukelesia Noel of Lugulu Girls and Patience Nakhumicha Venesa of Precious James School, Ongata Rongai.

Daughter of Daniel Barasa Masinde, Omurefu and Mayi Marciano Nakhanu Barasa, Omusakali. Sister of Celestine, Genentrix, Irene, Catherine, Bernadine, Adelaide, Godfrey, Kizito, Diphina. Sister Christabel, Bethsheba and Austine. Cousin of Masindes, Munokos, Sialos, Kasukus, Misikos,Walubengos, and Gideons.

Aunty of Makhanus, Situmas, Mutalis, Wasulas, Lukoritos, Nasios, Masindes, Kizitos, Wanjalas, Chunges and Wakhungus.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Namboko – Naitiri and Mbakalo areas as well as various social platforms for funeral arrangements.

Burial will be on Saturday, 21st March 2026 at Namboko area – Naitiri, Bungoma North.
