is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Maithya announce the demise of Mrs Monica Ndinda Maithya which occurred on 14th Oct, 2018 at Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Daughter of the late John Kilonzo and the late Blanche Kilonzo. Wife of Raphael Maithya and a loving mother of Michael Vincent Mulungye, Francis Wa’Muthiani, Patrick Nzuki Muthiani, the late Rose Nthenya Maithya, the late Anastasia Mwelu Maithya, the late Virginia Ndila Muthiani, Mary Nini and Jane Mumbua Muthiani. Mother-in-law of Bernadette Mulungye, Jacqueline Mauta Nuki and Stefano. Loved grandmother of Lilian, Muthiani, Evalyne, Lynda, Kevin, Brian, Brandon, Muthoni, Denise, Ian, Elizabeth, Joy and Jonathan. Great grandmother of Adrian. Sister of the late Mulwa Kilonzo, the late Jones Kilonzo, late Joyce Mwikali Kilonzo and Sammy Sila Kilonzo. Sister-in-law of Simon Kisaingu, Grace Wanza, the late Andrew Musembi, the late Real Mutua and the late Joseph Muthiani.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Ngiini Village Kangundo, Montana restaurant Kangundo and Tala Narrow Butchery for funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave from Lee funeral home on Friday 26th morning for mass service at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ngiini Village, Kangundo thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Ngiini.
