Mrs. Grace Gathoni Gikaru (Nyina wa Gathiomi)

14th April 1948 to 26th October 2019

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Grace Gathoni Gikaru of Jamii Bora Village, Kisaju, on Saturday 26th October 2019.

Grace was the wife of Newton Gikaru Gathiomi of Ngarariga, Limuru. Mother to ‘Casper’ and Irene Gathiomi, James Mwaura and Rahab Wanjiru. Grandmother to Noah Gikaru, Quincy Kung’u, Norah Gathoni, Pendo Gathoni and Tafari Gikaru. She was the second born child of the late James Mwaura Kiarie and the late Mary Kagure Kiarie. She was daughter-in-law to the late Wilfred Gathiomi Njonge and the late Rahab Wanjiru Gathiomi.

Sister of the late Joyce and the late Benson Magondu, Margaret and the late Robert Thrower, Lydia Waithera, Bishop George and Jane Kiarie, John and Hannah Ndung’u the late Elizabeth Wambui and Florence Nyokabi. Sister-in-law to the late Leonard Njonge, the late Frederick Mbugua, the late Mary and Peter Wainaina, Serah and the late Christopher Mwaniki, Rachel and Francis Mbugua and the late Kenneth Njoroge. She was also `kanyanya’ to Mrs. Agnes Kung’u,

The cortege will leave Uplands Funeral Home on Friday 1st November 2019 at 10.00 a.m. A Graveside Service at 11.00 am. will be followed by Interment, both at the family home in Ngarariga Village, Bibirioni Sub Location, Limuru, Kiambu County on the same day.
