It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we the family of Mrs Zibiah Moraa Nyambane announce her passing on Wednesday, 11th December 2019. She was at the time of her death a retired Kenya Registered Nurse, a former employee of the Kenyatta National Hospital and KEMRI Welcome Trust. She is a long time member of CITAM Valley Road church.

She was the daughter to the late Paramount Chief Manono Agwata and the late Naomi Bosibori Agwata. Beloved wife of the late Prof. James Nyambane Ombega. Cherished mother of Elizabeth Kwamboka, Dr. Mercy Nyanchama and the late Joash Agwata. She was mother-in-law to Jackson Ongubo. A loving grandmother to Amani, Zawadi and Jesse. She was a sister to Sigara Osugo, Rodgers Achoki, Joseph Onyancha, Helena Mayogi (all late) and Moses Bundi among others.

She was a daughter-in-law to the late Ombega Ongau and the late Rebecca Nyaboke Ombega. She was sister-in-law to Anne Ogechi, Janice Mogoi, the late Eunice Sarange, Yucabeth Onserio, Johnson Onyiego, Alice Nyabeta, the late Beatrice Bosibori, the late Timothy Osugo, Zibiah Achoki, Emmy Onyancha, James Mayogi and Josephine Bundi. Auntie to Sam Mankone, Clare Omanga, Rosemary Moraa, Hon. Ben Momanyi, Keziah, Martin, Lucy, George, Moses, Isabella, Naomi, Moses among others and korera to Peris Ongubo.

Family and friends will meet today at 5p.m. at the All Saints Cathedral —kindergarten wing and tomorrow, Thursday, 19th December 2019, 5 p.m., at the All Saints Cathedral – St. John Hall for the final fundraising meeting. The celebration of her life and funeral service will be held on Friday, 20th December 2019 at CITAM Valley Road, Nairobi beginning at 11 a.m.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Sunday, 22nd December 2019 at 8 a.m. to travel to Kisii for her final rites. Funeral service and burial thereafter is scheduled for Monday, 23rd December 2019 beginning at 9 a.m. at her family home at Botori, Kisii County.

“Mummy you were the face of God’s love on earth; a mother to many. You were a cherished wife, mother, sister, friend, colleague, prayer warrior extraordinaire and mentor. You have fought the good fight and won the race. Rest in peace. Until we meet again.”
