Mwalimu Edward Waiyaki Kariuki

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu Edward Waiyaki Kariuki.

Son of the late Moses Kariuki and the Late Nyambura Kariuki. Brother of Francis Mukono and the late Peter Nyamu. Husband of Jane Wairimu Waiyaki and father of Charles Kariuki Waiyaki (Bank of Africa), Mitterrand Muiruri Waiyaki, Dr. Isabel Nyambura Waiyaki (Director, NG-CDF Board), Anthony Ngure Waiyaki (Total Kenya) and Patrick Wachira Waiyaki (United Bank of Africa). Father in law of Alice Wanjiru Kariuki, Monica Waceke Muiruri, Keziah Wanjiku Ngure and Mary Nyawira Wachira. Grandfather of Nyssa Wairimu Muiruri, Joy Wairimu Kariuki, Tallyne Wambui Muiruri, Ethan Waiyaki Kariuki, Bidan Waiyaki Ngure, Nathan Kamau Kariuki and Wairimu Ngure. He was uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Gikambura, Kikuyu for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave PCEA Kikuyu Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, 15th September 2020 at 10 am. Funeral service will be held at ACK St. Mary’s Gikambura church, Kikuyu at 11am and thereafter, burial will take place at his home in Gikambura village, Kikuyu.

He is absent from the body, but present with the Lord. We celebrate his life well lived.
