Mwalimu Festus Samuel Muruga

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Festus Samuel Muruga, Soul mate to the late Veronicah Wangui Muruga, that occurred at Nairobi Women’s Hospital Nakuru on 30th May 2019.

Son of the late Bedan Njoroge Muruga and the late Agnes Magiri Njoroge. Brother of the late Rachel Njeri Kiarie, the late Maria Nyambura Mwangi and Mwalimu Duncan Joseph Kiarie. Step-brother of John Muruga, Felista Njeri Ngonyo, Hannah Kanyi Macharia, the late Peter Gacheru, the late Esther Wanjiru and Beth Nyambura Wambiiti. Father of Agnes Magiri Kinyanjui, Stephen Wairegi, Br. Francis Njoroge FSC, Jane Wanjiru, Lucy Njeri Icuga, Fr. Joseph Kiarie SJ and Br. Paul Anderson Karuri FSC. A cousin, uncle, in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, Catechist, friend and Mwalimu to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily for Mass at his home in Berbur Egerton and Waterbuck Hotel Nakuru (5.00pm).

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru at 8:30am on Friday 7th June for a requiem Mass at Christ the King Cathedral Nakuru at 10.00am. Burial will take place thereafter at Nakuru North Cemetery.

Muendwa wa mami, fathy, wababa, Mama, Guka we na Mami/Cucu, will always be alive in us. Rest in eternal peace.
