It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Julia Ruguru Mugambi of Rutuntu Village, Ntharene Sub-location, Abogeta Sub-county, Meru County on 26th April 2025.

Beloved wife of Franklin Mugambi Nkanata and daughter-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Isaiah Nkanata. Mother of Morris Ngugi, Risper Gatwiri and mother-in-law of Asenath Gatwiri. Grandmother of Brian Mwenda. Daughter of Wallece Marete Ngaruro and the late Gladys Marete from Kathigu, lgoji.

Sister of Gainson Gitonga, the late Sebastian Gikundi, the late Elly Kaaria, Phineas Kirai, Leonard Kiambi, Jack Mbabu, Josephine Gaceri, Joel Gichunge, David Kirimi, Beatrice Kavvira, Rosalid Kaimuri and Patrick Mwiti.

Sister-in-law of the late Silas Muriuki, the late Simon Kinyua, Kenneth Mbae, Robert Muriithi, Evelyn Nceri, Gladys Umotho, Susan Nkatha, Hellen Gitonga, Eunice Gikundi, Dinah Kaaria, Juliet Kirai, Lucy Kiambi, Ann Mbabu, Asunta Gichunge, Irene Kirimi, Harnold Adenga.

She was aunt of Muriithi, Kinoti, Kagendo, Mwendwa, Bosco, Kajuju, Mwenda, Muriithi, Nkirote, Frida, Muthuri, Mukami, Kinanu, Kainyu, Mwirigi, Kathure, Gakii, Kiende, Koome, Gituma, Mutwiri Kanana, Nick, Teddy, the late Muthomi, Makena, the late Kaari, Kendi, Nkatha, Mutugi, Sharon, Sandra. Salsha, Kinya and others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home Ntharene as from 4.00pm to 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday 6th May 2025 at Ntharene MCK Church at 10.00am. She will be laid to rest at her farm in Rutuntu Village, Meru County the same day.
