Mwalimu Wilberforce Wangalwa Mwanga

August 7 1965 – January 19 2026

By the grace of God and acceptance of His will, we announce the untimely death of Mwalimu Wilberforce Wangalwa Mwanga, the immediate former ACK Provincial Director of Education on January 19 2026.

Son of the late James Mwanga and the late Jerusa Mwanga. He was son-in-law of James Kimani and Alice Nyambura.

He was loving husband of Esther Wangalwa and father of Joy, James, Michael and Gideon.

Brother of the late Job, Beatrice, Grace, Jonathan, Eric, the late George, Florence, Risper, the late Lorna Josephine, the late Gilbert, Kwendo, Gladys, the late Reuben, Paul, Margaret and Praxides. He was a grandfather and uncle to many, and a loyal friend.

A requiem mass will be held on Sunday February 1st 2026 at 2.00pm at the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on February 2nd 2026 for Sikinga Village, Busia County. The burial service will be on February 3rd 2026 at his homestead.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 5.30pm and at his home in Rimpa, Ongata Rongai.

There will be a fundraiser on Tuesday January 27 2026 at he All Saints Cathedral Nairobi.
