Mzee Caleb Wekesa Kituyi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of our beloved father, Mzee Caleb Wekesa Kituyi on 5th March 2026 at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Husband of the late Alice Nakhanu Wekesa.

Son of the late Mzee Mukhongo and the late Mama Rael Saidi. Brother of late Kilasi, late Sikhitimi Walukhu, late Peka, late Manyonge, late Repa, late Maria, late Margaret, Absolom, Wafula Cheloti, among others.

Mzee Caleb Wekesa served as a Civil Servant working in courts in Kakamega and Bungoma Counties, and later on retired as a prominent commercial farmer.

A doting father of Janice, John, Helen, the late Eunice, Emmanuel, Rose, the late Ebby, Paul,Tom, Edith, Judith, Jemima & Sara.

Grandfather of George, Racheal, Mike, Meshack, Daniel, Kelvin, Dorothy, Milton, Staice, Neil, Kiki, Fede, Lucky, Hope, Love, Brave, Leslie, Brandon, Valary, Abel, Blessing, Elsie, Keagan, Stella, Uche, Abraham, Adam, Sifa, Purity, Chisom, Melanie, Marvel, Imani, Ahadi, Gracie, Alicia,-Yobel, Lamar, Malia and Anya. He also had 6 great grandchildren.

He was in-law of Elizabeth, Bilha, Lusenakas’, Namutalas’, Samitas’, Murungas among others.

Uncle of James Kituyi, Francis Sisungo, Samson Nyongesa, and the Peka’s. Father in-law of the late John, Elizabeth, Racheal, the late Wafula, juma, the late Tony, Melody, Maurine, Nicholas and Malcolm.

The cortege will leave Moi Referral and Teaching Hospital Farewell Home on Thursday 19th March, 2026 for a brief service at Webuye Maraka Village, and thereafter proceed to his home, Plot 5 Nzoia Scheme for the burial service. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 21st March 2026.
