It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mzee Fabianus Joseph Atela which occurred on 20/04/2019 at the Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital, Eldoret after a short illness.

Son of the late Ojwando Osamba and Selina Nyabera. Husband of Mary, Lydia, Susan & Margaret. Loving father of Zilpa, Stephen, Paul, George, Solomon, Richard, Dr. Judith Atela, Consolata, Seline, Nicodemus, Eunice, Joshua, Samson, Dr. Joanes Atela, Dr. Martin Atela, Roslyn, John, Dan, Sila, Dickson, Lorraine, Marcilus, Mercy, Askine and the late: Emily, Elizabeth, and Milka. Father-in-law of Ruth, Julian, Norah, Sharon, Faith, Lucy, Nasambu, Purity, Beatrice, Lilian, Helder, Doreen, Mercy and Rachel. Father-in-law of Ali, Ogola, Nyakinye, Onyango, Ndire, Manyala,Achungo, Gumba,Yonga and Harison.

Brother of Meso, Achich, Jeniffer and Grace and the late Yona, Dismas, Meresia, Onguko, Okelo, Jorim, Shem, Jason, Wandia, Adiel, Maina, Mwamba, and Bonyo. Uncle of Dr Grace Joseph, the Kisimbas, Osambas, Ongukos, Osiyos, Adiels, Wandias, Mainas, Okelos, and Ochilos. He is survived by 74 grandchildren among others Mariam, Marion, Mellaine, and Kenald.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Sondu-Nyakach Kadianga, Wahanda Village, Kisumu County.

Cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu for a funeral service at Kisumu VOSH church on Friday 10/05/2019 at 10 a.m.

Burial is scheduled for Saturday May 11, 2019 at his Sondu-Nyakach home, along Sondu-Nyabondo road.
