It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mzee Francis Kaunya Masai, of Kakemer village, Teso North Sub County that occurred on 22nd May, 2019 at Bungoma County Referral Hospital at 11:00pm.

Son of the late Jacob Masai and the late Elizabeth Achalat. Brother of Alfred lsiepai, Richard Imo, Bramwel Oyakapel, George Kitui, Moses Isiepai, Livingston Kaunya, Japheth Isemeki, Milka Maureen Etiti, Ludia Amoit, Benson lsiepai and many others. Brother-in-law of John Ekirapa, John Murunga, Salome Elungata and many others. Loving father of Teso North Member of Parliament Hon. Oku Kaunya, the late Mary Toto Kaburu (Moding), Dr. Aggrey Walter lsemek, Phoebe Inyele Etyang (Apokor), Elsham Henry Otulia (Retired OCPD), Senior Chief Evans Maasai Kaunya, Daniel Kituyi Kaunya (Senior Sergeant Administration Police), the late Administration Police Constable Stephen Papa Kaunya, Mwalimu Agnes Amoit Osabini and Mwalimu Jane Anya Mundia (Amagoro), the late Rose Asangire, the late James Masai Kaunya, Dennis Oyakapel Kaunya, Titus Nandek Kaunya, Isaiah Kaunya, Paul Onyapidi and Isaac Isemeki.

He has left behind many great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives will meet at Professional Centre, Nairobi on 11th June, 2019 at 5:00pm for the fundraising.

The cortege leaves Life Care, Bungoma, on Wednesday 13th June, 2019 at 11:00am to be laid to rest on Saturday 15th June 2019 at his home Kakemer Village, Teso North Constituency, Busia County.
