Husband of the late Alice Mutitu. Father of Lilian Njue, the late Jane Muthoni Gaturu, Stephen Njeru, Phyllis Getanguthi, Mukinyia Njue, Dickson Njathika, Mercy Gakiavi, George Mwangi, the late Joseph Kariuki (Kithae), the late Njeri and Stella Karimi.

Father-in-law of Samuel Njue, Robinson Thiaka, Erastus Getanguthi, Rose Njeru, the late Jane Muthoni Mukinyia, Nancy Kithinji, Emily Mwangi, jackline Njura and George Kinyua Njoka. Grandfather of Andrew Gitonga, Florence Mukami, Leonard Ireri, Kagendo Gatwiri, Mutugi Njue, Davis Kiio, Kennedy Murimi, Edith, Manasseh, Patrick, Evans, Sylvia, Marcella among others and great grandfather of Nicole, Gakenia, Kenzie, jabez Mutoria, Caleb Njathika, Robin among others.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Wednesday 5th July 2017 for funeral service and burial at his Gicherori home near Nguviu Boys’ High School, Kibugu Location, Embu County.
