Mzee John Calisto Obel Otieno

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful passing of Mzee John Calisto Obel Otieno on 22nd May 2021 at his home in Asembo, Rarieda.

Son of the late Otieno Ogaja and Mama Rosalia Okwiri nyar Michura. Brother to late Sivanus Ogola Otieno, Coltman Ongode Otieno, Mama Leonida Misula and others.

Loving husband to late Mama Rose Abonyo and late Mama Isabella Mor. Father to late Connie Obel, Elizabeth Obel-Lawson and Anne Josiah.

Father-in-law to Ambassador Green Josiah and late Latevi Lawson. Grandfather to Stella Josiah, Christian Josiah, late Jon Josiah, Rene Lawson Obel Otieno and Carlos Lawson. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and caring friend to all.

The funeral will take place in Asembo Kamito on Tuesday, 1st June 2021.
