It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the peaceful passing on of Mzee Lucas Agunda Nyamboto on 16th May 2021.

Son of the late Nyamboto Oyugi and the late Aloo Nyar Onyang’u. He was a step-son to the late Magdalina Okwiri and Anastasia Anyango. Husband to the late Mama Maria Akumu and Mama Hellen Oyugi. Son-in-law to the late Odero Goiya, the late Magarita Opwapo, the late Joseph Olumba and the late Legina Atieno.

Beloved father of Josephine, William, Maggy, Maricus, Nyakala, Celline, Alice Atieno, George, Christine, Consolate, Carolyne and Alice Juma. Father-in-law of Anton Dinga, Beatrice Anyango, Cleophas Odango, Pamela Awuor, Caroline Aoko, Thomas Ochieng’, Evelyne Akinyi, Moses and Silvester Owoko.

Grandfather of Moses, Ruth, Leslie, Fredrick, Janet, Millicent, Eva, Sam, Collins, Betty, Godwin, Steven, Simon, Meyi, Linet, Lucas, Odero Meja, Eva, Ochieng’, Gavira, Junior, Lucy, Basil and Tabby. He was a brother to Vitalis Nyamboto, Adhiambo Gaudencia, Hellen Amolo and a cousin to Karilius Sewe Orwenyo. He was a brother-in-law to Patricia Owino, Mzee Oloo Nyang’or, the late Rev. Ambrose Ngawo and Vitalis Odhiambo Odero.

Mzee Lucas Agunda Nyamboto will be laid to rest on Saturday 29th May 2021 at his home in Ndai Village, Central Alego Location, Siaya County.
