Appreciation

We, the family of the late John Khabeko Etemesi would like to extend our thanks,gratitude, and appreciation to all those who provided moral, material, and financial support to us after the demise of our Patriarch on 26th April 2021.

We would like to thank His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta for his words of comfort and encouragement and in recognising the contribution that our late Dad made to the country. We would also like to thank Cabinet Secretaries Eugene Wamalwa and James Macharia for being with us throughout this very difficult time.

We would like to say Asante Sana to the political leadership in particular Hon. Moses Mudavadi, Hon, Fred Gumo, Hon. Moses Wetangula, Hon. Chris Wamalwa, Hon. Joshua Kutuny, Hon. Noah Wekesa, Hon Zipporah Kittony, the Council of Luhya Elders led by the chairman Mr. Patrick Wangamati for finding time to be with us as we said farewell to Mzee.

We are incredibly grateful to the Governor Trans Nzoia County, H.E. Hon Patrick Khaemba, the MCA Statunga Hon. Daniel Kaburu for their readiness to provide logistical and material support during the funeral arrangements.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Mr. George Natembeya, County Commissioner Mr Sam Olwang, Deputy County Commissioner, Mr. Abed Mwalwa, OCS Cherangani Division, Mr Korir, Senior Chief Statunga Mr. Joseph Wayele, and their teams who played a critical role In providing security and order before, during and after we laid Mzee to rest. Please accept our sincere thanks and may God continue to bless you and your works.

To the Sibanga community who provided friendship and a deep sense of belonging to Mzee, Asanteni Sana each and every one of you played a role in his life on a daily basis and after he passed away, your prayers, financial and material, emotional support, and words of encouragement gave us strength and comfort during this difficult time.

To the Anglican Diocese of Kitale led by Bishop Emmanuel Chemengich, St. Andrews Parish Sibanga, The Diocese of Butere represented by Archdeacon Rose Okeno, the communion of St Peters Muyundi led by the Vicar in charge Reverend Oscar Khamati, thank you very much for the love that you gave to Mzee while he was among us. You were the bedrock on which he continued to reaffirm his faith and his commitment to Christ Thank you for walking the journey with us and continuing to pray for us.

To the management and staff of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret for the care and professional attention in according Mzee a dignified sendoff.

To all our friends, relatives, colleagues, and associates who so generously provided us with financial and aerial support, words cannot describe how immensely touched we were for your kind gestures and words support and encouragement
