Mwangi Stephen Muriithi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr Mwangi Stephen Muriithi, former Deputy Director of Intelligence & former Managing Director, Kenya Airports Authority that occurred on 21st June, 2021, at The Nairobi Hospital, after a long illness bravely borne.

Son of the late Mwangi Wanjama and the late Wakonyo Mwangi of Karatina. Son-in-lave to the late Erasto Kamwana and Sarah Wambeti Kamwana of Njukiri, Embu County. Loving husband to the late J. Muthoni Muriithi. Doting father to Gitonga Mwangi, Kamwana Njue & Kiama Maina. Father-in-law to Mary Gakii and Grandfather to Wanjama Kiama and Muthoni Makena.

Brother to Grace Wangu Mwangi, Loise Muthoni Njuki, Lawrence Kiama Mwangi, Geoffrey Gichohi Mwangi and Irene Njeri Gichuru. Step-brother to Justin Mundia and many others. Brother-in-law to Zipporah Wanjira Njogu, Eunice Ruguru Njeru, the late Samuel Ndwiga Kamwana, Njagi Kamwana Mwara (U.K), Bernice Gichuki Kamwana,Tabitha Nyakeru Ndwiga, Nyaga Kamwana, Njaria Kamwana (U.S.A) and Muriithi Kamwana. An uncle and cousin to many.

Family and friends will meet for prayers and funeral arrangements on Thursday 24th June, 2021 and Friday 25th June, 2021, at PCEA St Andrews Church Nairobi starting from 4.00pm to 6.30pm.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday 29th June 2021 at St Andrews PCEA Church Nairobi from 11am – 1pm.

The burial service will be held on Wednesday 30th June 2021 at the family Karatina home (Nyeri County) starting at 10am. Kindly be advised all COVID-19 protocols will be observed for both functions.
