Mzee Joseph Kiplagat Tireito

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we the Family of Tireito announce the passing of Mzee Joseph Kiplagat Tireito which occurred on 10th March 2026 at Fountain Hospital Eldoret after a short illness.

Son of the late Micah Kipkelelwa Tireito and the late Alice Sogome Tireito of Lelboinet Marichor Location Elgeiyo Marakwet Count.

Husband of Jane Jebiwott Tireito, and beloved father of the late John Kimutai, Tom Kipngetich, Grace Koech, Margret, James, Sammy, Patrick and David.

Brother of Elizabeth, Musa, Dinah, the late Leah, Rammy, the late Nelly, Esther, Margaret, Henry and Rose.

Brother in law of Sarisar Family (Kilgoris). Uncle of many. He was also In-law of Kaplelei of Marichor, Kapng’elechei of Tugen estate, Kapkoech of Namgoi, Kapterer of Kabiyet, Kavitha of Machakos and Kapbutugo of Sego.

Grandfather of Victor, Cherop among others.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Friday 20th March 2026 at 2pm. Burial will take place on Saturday 21 st March 2026 at Rock Center (Eldoret) Kimumu Location Moiben Uasin Gishu County starting at 1am.
