Mzee Patrick Musau Katingima

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mzee Patrick Musau Katingima, former General Manager and Director, Coffee Board of Kenya, and Chairman of the Machakos Cooperative Union, which occurred on the evening of 27th February 2026.

Son of the late Stephen Kioko Seve and Mary Mutono.

Beloved husband of the late Gladness Furo Katingima. Loving father of Benjamin- Nzioka, Dr. Christine Mutono, Emily Mwikali, Dr. Nancy Nthambi Day, Jacqueline Ndinda, Stephen Kioko, and CPA Livingstone Makau. Father-in-law of Dr Roger Day, Julie Grace, Frida Makena, and Mary VVanjiku. Grandfather of Kendra, Edna, Lyiwa, Nathan, Netanya, Philip, Solomon, and Sanel.

Brother of the late Mbula Mutiso, the late Jacob Ndunda, the late Charles Muindi, the late Loisa Wenza Makau, the late Grace Mbithe Ngila, the late Elizabeth Ndungwa Muindi, the late Michael Muloki, the late Daniel Musembi, and Jennifer Mbithi.

Uncle of Mose Muindi, Kioko Muindi, Musila Muloki, Maluni Muloki, Paul Muloki,Wambua Musembi, Lawrence Nduva Makau, Elijah Makau, Jimmy Mutiso, Peter Ngila, Mutiso Muindi, Mutuku Mutiso, Beatrice Mutua, Mueni Mwania, Elizabeth Katola, Ndinda Peter, Susan Musembi, Mercy Mutono, Maureen Ndulu, Mutono Muindi, Rebecca Mbithi, and others. Cousin of PeterYuma, Kilo Muindi, Brigadier Kiilu, and others. Son-in-law of the late Livingstone Righa and the late Christine Wambuga.

Brother-in-law of the late Evans Mwarabu, Charles Mwango’mbe, Nicholas Maghanga, the late Edward Maghanga, the late Matilda Wavua, Elvis Tole,Alice Mkamzungu and Stanley Mwanyambo.

Friends and family will be meeting on Friday 20th March 2026 from 4.00pm at Lavington United Church and on Tuesday 24th March 2026 at the rural home in Kavilinguni, Kangundo in Machakos County.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 27th March 2026 at 8:00 a.m. for Kakuyuni Primary School in Kakuyuni, Machakos County, where the funeral service will be held, followed by burial at his home in Kavilinguni, Kangundo.
