MOURNING THE VICTIMS
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2016
I have learnt of the Naivasha road tragedy that occurred on Saturday, December 10, 2016, with great shock.
On behalf of the Judiciary, I convey our heart-felt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and relatives. I wish quick recovery to the injured.
As we reflect on this unfortunate incident, we can’t avoid remonstrating over such large-scale loss of life and injuries in one single incident which was possibly avoidable. It is a sad event which has hit us hard as a country and, more particularly, the families and relatives of those affected. The pain and psycho-social impact of such tragedies ravage families and individuals for years.
May God Almighty give the bereaved families, relatives and friends the strength to cope with this loss.
HON DAVID MARAGA
CHIEF JUSTICE / PRESIDENT, SUPREME COURT OF KENYA
