Naomi Wanjiku Maina

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Naomi Wanjiku Maina, the beloved wife of John Irungu Gakonyo.

Daughter of Mr. Francis Maina Karue and Sarah Wangari Maina, daughter-in-law of Mr. George Kiruri Gakonyo and Mrs Pens Wangeci Kiruri.

Naomi was the beloved mother of Imani Wamuyu and Jabali Kiruri, sister of Wanja Maina, George Karue and Gakure Maina, sister-in-law of Jane Wanjira and Lay Reader Fridah Karue, Auntie and a friend to many.

She touched countless lives with her kindness, strength and grace.

Family and friends are meeting at Mamlaka Hill Chapel – City Campus for prayers on Monday 14th July, Thursday 17th July and Sunday 20th July 2025 at 6.00pm.

There will be a Memorial Service at Mamlaka Hill Chapel – City Campus on Tuesday 22nd July 2025.

Burial will be at Thaithi – Nyeri County on Wednesday 23rd July 2025.
