Nathan Akama Obondi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and deep sorrow that the family of Nathan Akama Obondi announces his demise on 26th June, 2019.

We give thanks to God for “Baba D.O” as he was popularly known, for his life and the great love he bestowed on us as a husband to Jane Mugure; father to Mark, Stella, the late Veronica, Onsoti, Hellen, Daniel and Michael; father in-law to Gideon, Victor, Liz and Shiro; grandfather to Nancy, Sera, Amara, Nick, Nicole, Nathan, Andrew, Sarah and Tabitha; brother to Eunuke, Tabitha, Bilha, Eucabeth, the late Jason, Moses, Olpha, Lugard, Julius, Mary, Drucilla, Nyomenda, Atumba, Mark, Bosibori, Nyapara, Esther, Susan, Onsoti, Ombiro, Morn, Henry,Togita and Rael. Son of the late Daniel Obondi Gitenya and the late Eunice Nyaigero, the late Nyaruri and Perk. The broader Gitenya family and friends will with fond memories always remember his big heart, wit & humour and his ever wise counsel.

Family and friends are invited to the main fundraising function on Tuesday 9th July, 2019 at Professional Centre along parliament road in CBD from 5pm. Daily meetings are ongoing at his Ruiru home from 3pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on Mbagathi way (Nairobi) on Thursday 11th July, 2019 at 7am.

Funeral ceremony will be held on Friday 12th July, 2019 in his rural home in Kisii, lbencho where he will be laid to rest.
