A beautiful flower has been plucked from us. Mary Wangechi Maina has gone to be with the Lord. Heaven is rejoicing. We are mourning. But even in this moment of sorrow, we choose to celebrate her life on what she meant to us. Mary left us on 05/07/2019 at Gertrude’s Hospital Muthaiga.

Doting daughter of Stephen Maina Gakurui (NBK) and Joyce Wambui Maina (CBK). Loving sister of Lemuel Gakurui Maina. Granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Mwaura (Dagoretti Gachui) and the Late Francis Kinyua and Grace Wanjiku Kinyua (Karatina, Nyeri). Niece of Mwaura, Njambi, Muthoni, Wangari, Wanjiku, Jere, Mwangi, Kamau, Muhoro, Karuri, Murigu and Weru. Cousin to Ciku, Kinyua, Vinny, Waihiga, Muthoni, Zawadi, Neema, Terry, Francis, Michael, Cici and Ryan.

Friends and family are meeting daily at her parents’ home in Greenspan Estate Hse No.43, Donholm daily from 6:30p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Wednesday, 10/07/2019 at 08:00 a.m. to be followed by Requiem Mass at Shrine of Mary Help of Christians Don Bosco Upper Hill from 10.00am and thereafter burial at Langata Cemetery.
