We, the family of the late sister-in-Christ Maryslessor Anusu Omondi, wish to express our gratitude to the Almigh God for the years shared with ‘Mumstar’.After a long battle with stomach cancer mum passed on while undergoir treatment at lndraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi lndia.To us mum has Gone Too Soon.
The family would like to express its deepest appreciation to the following. The church: St Stephen’s ACK Webuye) and the entire Bungoma diocese. Katakwa ACK Church. St Paul’s ACK Hono Church and St. Peter’s AACK Siaya Church, hospitals; doctors and the entire staff of Mediheal Eldoret and lndraprastha Apollo hospital, New Delhi. Friend and colleagues from Webuye. Nairobi. Kisumu, Busia. Eldoret and Siaya. Moi University,  the university administration and all the staff members. especially in the school of education. Odera Akang’o Yala campus. administration, staff members and students. Relatives; all our extended family members and their friends.We thank you for your emotional encouragement and support since January this year when mum started her treatment. Beloved mother of Professor John Katana Ngala, the late David Matole Ngala, Sidney Kilonga Ngala, Jimmy Mjimba Ngala, Lily Mariga Nyaga, Victoria Perkins, Professor Risley Kavu Ngala, Matilda Mbeyu Ngala, George Yongo Ngala and Vera Ngala-Harre. Sister to the late Duncan Kavu, Sammy Kavu, John Kavu, James Kavu, Donald Kavu, Jane Kinda, Florence Isanya, the late William Kavu and Arthur Kavu. Mother-in-law of John Nyaga, Susan Kadide Katana, Joanna Kavu, Elizabeth Sidi Yongo and Jumaa Harre. Sister-in-law to the late Fred Karisa, Sally Uledi, Patrick Mwaeba, Nelly Mwarumba, Lydia Mwanyumba, and Jimmy Dzimba. Grandmother, aunt and grandaunt of many.
Prayer meetings and funeral arrangements are being held daily at the family residence in Mtwapa and at the Pandya Memorial Hospital at 4.00 pm.
Funeral service will be held at the A.C.K. Emmanuel Church Freretown on Friday, 14 October 2016 followed by the burial at the family home Mtwapa on Saturday 15 October 2016.

Sarah was born on November 24th 1983 in Bomet County Chebunyo  Location, Cheboyo Sub-location Mariko Village, Daughter to Recho Koriony.

Sarah was 7th born in a family of 8 Namely; Juliana Chirchir, Joseph Chepkwony, Richard Chepkwony, Salina Kirinyet, Paul Chepkwony, Sabina Koech Sarah Rono and Justina Lagat.
Sarah was married to Dauglas Ronoh In April 2002 and were blessed with three children;
Mercy Chepngeno Rono, Emmanuel  Kiplang’at Rono and Purity Jepchumba Rono.

She was daughter in-law to Sarah Chumo and the late Philip Kiprono Chumo
Sister in-law Anna Soy, Joseph Rono, the late Joel and Jonathan Rono, Rachel Rotich, Mary Olale, Johana Rono, Joshua Rono, Joyce Mutai, Gladys Ngetich and Geoffrey Rono.

The cortege leaves Coptic Hospital mortuary on Friday 14th October and Funeral shall be held in Kapkawa village, Tarakwa Location, Bomet county on Saturday 15th October 2016.

It is with profound shock and sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Christopher Tsuma after a cardiac arrest on Saturday October 8, 2016.
He was the son of the late Brown Aleka Tsuma and Mama Rosemary Tsuma.
Chris is survived by his two sons: Roark and Thomas. He was a brother of Margaret, Gray, the late Donnah, Green, Beauttah, Faith Rose, Clive, Junior. Leah, Rebecca, Cyprian, Nicodemus, Victoria, William, Anne, Rhoda, and Idah.
Uncle, colleague and friend to many.
Chris was formerly a sports sb-editor and the Daily Nation, The Star and lastly a lecturer at the United States International University, Kenyatta University and Narok University.
Funeral arrangements/meetings are being held daily at Antonio’s (Family) from 5pm and the Holy Family Basilica, Cardinal Otunga Plaza (Friends/Colleages) at St Faustina Room 7th Floor daily from 5pm.
Burial date will be announced later.

 

The media fraternity is mourning the sudden death of Chris Tsuma. The veteran sports journalist, who worked at the Daily Nation for over a decade, breathed his last on Saturday at the Komarock Modern Hospital in Nairobi. He was 50.

Tsuma had been rushed to the hospital by family members after complaining of chest pains while working at the gym. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

His body was later transferred to Chiromo mortuary. At the time of his death, Tsuma was a lecturer at KU, Narok and Mount Kenya universities.

Elias Makori, who worked with Tsuma for many years, remembered him as “an upright, hard working and no-nonsense professional”.
