In Loving Memory

“Gone from our sight but never from our hearts.”

On this 7th Anniversary, you are dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of us-friends colleagues, and family:’

Psalm 147:3 (NIV) ” He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

In Loving Memory

19th January 1993 – 8th January 2021

Fondly remembered by his father, mother, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, colleagues, neighbors and friends.

Five years have passed since you were suddenly plucked from us. We thought of you today as we did yesterday, the days before and the days to come. Our hearts ache and the tears and sadness just won’t stop flowing.

To your siblings you were the true loving brother, understanding, supportive, bright light and patient.

Son, though not physically with us, you will always live in each one of our hearts. For we know that what we enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us. It is more painful when the cause of your death stilt remains a mystery.

Those we dearly love remain with us, for love itself lives on and cherished memories never fade because a loved one has gone. Your death is an immeasurable loss to the family. But by the grace of God the family continues to stand.

You were a great unwavering reliable soul, and a blessing to us. Your signature laughter still rings in our ears and hearts.

John 16:12 Therefore, you have grief now, but will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

Earthly Sunrise: 20th May 1922 – Earthly Sunset: 19th December 2024

It has been 365 days since God called you home. You lifted your hands to heaven with peaceful acceptance and a gentle smile. God, your Maker, your Father, your Friend embraced you and took you home. 102 years God gave you on this earth and you lived with a grateful heart, a kind spirit and quick wit. What a wonder you were, a testimony that those who trust in the LORD shall, renew their strength, mount up on wings like eagles, walk and not be faint.

You walked with God and your spirit was never faint, in fact, by God’s hand you were ever hopeful, ever tenacious, ever loving. You were ready to do the LORD’s work even in your old age. Your faith in God was unwavering. A blessed man who delighted in the things of God. You ran your race with humility and an unquenchable fire born of the Holy spirit and we still see the light burning. The echoes of your life still ring true in the words you spoke, the things you did, and the state of your heart.

102 years were not enough for us who love you and miss you, but because you accepted God’s will, we accept it. “Wele kambolele, kimiaka kino kia nyalile” you said with a smile.

Until we meet again, we will run this race and follow Jesus Christ Whom you loved with all your heart. Always remembered, Always Cherished! We will miss you always! RIP

John 10:27-28 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

A DECADE OF MISSING YOU, A LIFETIME OF LOVING YOU

Its ten years since that Monday morning, 14TH December 2015, when life quietly split into “before” and “after “Ten years since we received the news that reshaped our world in ways we could never have prepared for.

A decade later, grief has changed shape. It is no longer the loud, choking storm it once was. it has softened into a quiet ache , a gentle tug at the heart when a song you loved plays, when a memory surfaces unexpectedly, when we catch glimpses of you in the small habits we inherited without noticing.

Though time has continued its steady march, the place you held in our lives remains tender and unchanged.Your kindness, your steady presence, your quiet strength, and the love you poured into us still simmers gently in our hearts. We carry your lessons in how we work, how we keep family close, how we love, how we persevere.

In these ten years, the family has grown in number, in love, and in strength.

Today, we honour you with gratitude, not sorrow; with celebration, not despair.Though we miss you more than words can express, we are comforted knowing you rest in God’s eternal peace.

Forever in our hearts Dad. From your loving wife -Mukonyo; Your dear children -Wanjiku, Kinuthia, Wambui and Muli. And your grandsons! Mesta, Gee, Gatheru, Manzi, Kabata and Kiuna.
