In Loving Memory & 1st Anniversary

It was 3rd of February last year 2016 when the Lord called you home to glory to be with Him. It broke our hearts but we have accepted because we know you are safely home.

We miss your guidance, hard work, friendliness to all ages and mostly your humour and lovely sound of you singing hymns. You were a pillar in our family. Affectionately remembered and missed by your loving wife Nellie Njeri Gecau, Children: Gatebu and Jane, Wanjiku, Ciru and Michael, Njoki and Jesse. Your many Grandchildren, Relatives and Friends.

We know you are safely home where you longed to be. Psalm 23: 6.

Loved ones never depart they rest in God’s hands

and live in our hearts forever.

1st Anniversary

It is exactly one year since the Lord called you home, yet we remember the day like it were yesterday. The memories still fresh in our minds, the pain still tugging at our hearts. We would like to thank all the friends and relatives who stood by us during that difficult time, to ensure that you had a deserving send off and that the virtues you always stood by, would remain the essence of our strength.

A light from our lives has gone

A voice we loved is still

A place is vacant within our hearts

which never can be filled

A bouquet of beautiful memories

sprayed with a million tears

I wish God could have spared you

if just for a few more years

We hold you close within our hearts

And there you will remain

To walk with us throughout our lives

until we meet again

Fondly missed by all who called you Husband, Dad, Brother, Guka, Uncle, friend and mentor.

Sadly missed by your wife Marion, children grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Rest in peace Dad.

Second Anniversary

Mum it is two years since you left us. On that morning the Hospital called and said they are turning off the ICU machine, the news hit us like knife through our chest. In a blink of an eye the mention of the word (Mathee) become a memory to us. The pain of your sudden departure is and still remains a mystery. We are trying to learn to go on without your love but with a lot of pain.

Dearest Mum we loved you in a very special way. We know you loved us so much that you tried to hold on tight till the last breath was gone and you could no longer fight. Our hearts are still heavy though we draw memories and selfless love that you had for each one of us.

Missed by your husband Daniel J Odhialo, fondly and desperately missed by your children Dennis (UK), Robert (Nrb), Maureen (Nrb), Emily (Cote d’Voire), (NMK), King (Tower Tech African Ltd) and Eunice Odhialo (Canadian Embassy) and sister Rosemary Amadi and your brother Jerome Gai Bongo.
