It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Cheche Kiriba of NSSF which occurred at Karen Hospital on the 5th of January 2017. Son of Walter Kiriba Cheche and Damaris Wambui Cheche.

Husband of Jane Manguye (NSSF). Father of Kiriba Cheche, Brother of Philip Kiriba, Sam Kiriba (NSSF) and Nicholas Kiriba. Son in law of Stanley Manguye and Jane Manguye. Nephew of Sam Ng’ang’a of Gakinduri, Eliud Mworia of Karen, Martha Wangari of Ukunda among others. Cousin of Elizabeth Njau (ERC), Mercy Mworia (Karen Hospital) among others. Uncle of Wambui Kiriba, Maureen Njeri and Edna Njeri among others.

Friends and family are meeting from Monday 9th January 2017 at St. Andrews, Nairobi, from 5.30pm. There will be a fundraiser to offset the medical bills on Wednesday 11th January 2017 at the same venue from 5.30 pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday 12th January 2017 at 9am. The funeral service and burial will be held at Gakinduri village, Cura, Lower Kabete from 10.30am.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Makuyu Mowlem, Kahawa Sukari, MacGeorge Hotel Thika and at Gituamba for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Gen. Kago Funeral Home, Thika, on Wednesday 11/01/2017 at 8.00a.m for requiem mass and burial thereafter at his farm in Makuyu, Mowlem.

Mombasa businessman Tahir Sheikh Said, popularly known as TSS, died on Tuesday at a hospital in South Africa.

The billionaire’s son Tahir Mohamedconfirmed his death at Milpark hospital, saying he had been sick for a while.

“It’s a shock to us but it’s Allah’s plan,” he said, but noted the billionair was privileged to have lived for 72 years.

Mohamed said the bodywill arrive at about 1am on Wednesday morning for burial at Saragoi cemetery before midday.

Tahir had invested billions in the transport industry through TSS buses. He was also in the real estate and milling businesses, and had ventures at the Coast and other parts of the country.

The businessman’s family has been involved in wrangles over loan defaults of about Sh2.7 billion, associated with TSS Unga Millers.

Early in 2015, the government cancelled title deeds to large tracts of land in Lamu county that were associated with the tycoon.

Some of the land is said to have been used to secure loans in excess of Sh5 billion from two banks that are listed on the stock exchange.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of Mzee Timothy Kimutai Tiony of Koyabei and Chepkechei, Kericho County, that occurred on 08.01.2017 at Coptic Hospital. He was the son of Kiptiony arap Chemaget and Taprantich (Both deceased). He was husband of Rhoda Tiony and Hellena Tiony (Both deceased).

Father of Grace, Pius, Charles, Joseph, Ludia, Moses, Benjamin, Jonathan, Sarah, Late Loice, Philip and Noah. His daughters in law are Hellen, Loice, Grace, Lily, Sarah, Mary, Sally and Diana. His sons in law are the Late Isaac, William and Selim and late Moses Lang’at. He was brother of the late Jeremiah Tiony

and SophiaYapsoi. Cousin of Josiah Lang’at, the late Isaac Lang’at and the late Chepkwony Lang’at. He was grandfather to 51 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

There will be a fundraiser to offset medical expenses on Wednesday 11.01.2017 5pm at Nairobi Central SDA Church, Koyabei and Chepkechei homes respectively.

Burial will take place on 20.01.2017 at his Chepkechei home, Kipkelion Sub County.

Granddaughter of Mary Kenduiywo, Chepkwony Rona (late), Arap Chepkoimett and Christine Chepkoimett (late). Niece of Engineer Abraham Korir, Vincent Korir and Emily Chepng’eno among others. Cousin of among others Vincent Mutai (lecturer Moi University School of Law) and a friend to many.

The cortege leaves Tenwek Mission Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 11th January, 2017 for funeral service and burial on the same day at her father’s farm, Sagamian Sub Location, Narok South.

Family and friends meet daily at his Mikumbune home for funeral arrangements. A meeting will be held in Nairobi on Wednesday 11th January at San Valencia Annivesary Towers at 6pm.

The cortege leaves Nkubu Hospital mortuary on 13th January, 2017 at 8.00am. Funeral service will be held at Kiunju Mitarune Methodist Church at 10am followed by burial at his home in Bombitine Village.
