Lucy Njeri Chege

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Lucy Njeri Chege on Friday 25th July 2025 in the United Kingdom.

She was the beloved wife of the late Sebastian Macharia Chege. Devoted mother of Jane Nyambura, Mary Wambui, Sarah Wangari, Paul Chege (Slomo), Agnes Wairimu, Stellamaris Wanjiru Hill (Leicester, U.K) and Rose Njambi (London, U.K). Loving mother-in-law of Susan Muendo Chege and Robin Hill.

Daughter of the late Stephen Mwaura Gichuhi and the late Mary Wambui Mwaura. Sister of Agnes Wairimu Muchoki and Cecelia Njambi Kamau.

Cherished grandmother of Lucy Mbete, Nigel Makau, Naythan Macharia, Malcolm Musili, Ethan Macharia, Benjamin Muendo, Jesse Kaimu and Isaac Macharia.

Friends and family are meeting at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 19th August 2025.

The requiem mass will be held at Consolata Shrine, Westlands, at 10.30am on Thursday 21st August.

The cortege will then leave Montezuma Funeral Home Nairobi branch, on Friday 22nd August for funeral mass and burial at Ndunyu Njeru, Kinangop.

Meetings are being held daily at his home in Nairobi. Requiem Mass will be held at the Holy Family Basilica on Monday, 18th August, 2025 at 2.00pm.

Dr, Francis Ndenga Mugoma will be laid to rest on Saturday, 23rd August 2025 at his Home in Busia, Marachi Bumwaya village.

Dear wife of the late Johnson Maithori Maruga. She was a loving and dedicated mother of Joyce Gathigia, Caroline Ngima, Edward Maruga and Lucy Mumbi. Mother in-law of Josephat Nganga and Winnierose Gathoni.

Sister of Charles Mathenge, the late Grace Nyaguthii, her late twin Christopher Karumba, Caroline Njoki and the late Kennedy Kareiithi. Step sister of Agnes Mwaura, Mary Ngetha, Ann Ngetha amongst others.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our Matriarch, Grace Njeri Kamau on 9th August, 2025,

She was the daughter of the late Mwangi and the late Waithera, and a sister of the late Kariuki Mwangi and Monicah Wanjiku Mugi.

She was the wife of the late Geoffrey Kamau Ng’ang’a (Miyako). Co-wife of Peninah Wanjiru and Charity Wanjugu.

Grace was a loving mother of; George Wainaina (Eagle Academy), John Mwangi (Emkay Construction), Margaret Kinyanjui, Priscillah Waithera (Prikam), Alfred Njehia, James Wainaina (Jimmyiam), Judy Njoroge, Paul Kinuthia (USA), Jayne Wakaimba, the late Mike kamau, the late Malik Njehia, Winnie Kamau (Kenya High), the late Fred Githua, David Munyui (USA), Fred Githua (USA) and Margaret Magiri (USA).

She is survived by 50 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mother in-law and aunty to many.

Son of the late Paul Masanya, the late Salome Magoma and Tabibtha Moige

Father of Josephine, George, Beatrice, Samwel, Rebecca and Agnes. Father-In-law of Jackline, Stella among others.

His Siblings were, Nyabate, the late Nyaboke, the late Osano, Kirera, Esther Kerubo, Alice’s, Mecha, David, Drusila, Margaret, Robina, Kennedy, Mogiti and Hezron.

His uncles were Omboga, Momanyi,Areba Maroro, (all late) among others.

Son in-law of the late Nyaramba and the late Damaro.

The body is lying at Kaplong Mission Hospital and the cortege will leave on 14th August 2025 for his home at Kineni, Saiga Ngiya for night vigil and thereafter interment on 15th August 2025.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of mama Josephine Emily Apondi Odhiambo – which occurred on 27th July, 2025 in NJ, USA.

She was the daughter of Philip Ohulo Obare and Phelesia Otako Ohulo of Mur Ng’iya, Alego Sub-County, Siaya County.

She was wife of Samson Victor Odhiambo Milanya of Bondo Subcounty, Yimbo West, Osieko Village, Siaya County. Mother of Martha Ajwang’ Milanya, Karen Apamo Milanya and Laura Phelesia Odhiambo. She was also mother of Tobias Milanya, Anthony Sumba Milanya and Margaret Akinyi Milanya.

Daughter-in-law of the late Tobias and Jane Milanya, and sister-in-law of the late Herbert Milanya, Wilkister Ogwang’, Gordon Milanya, Janet Atwenya, Ruth Ngesa, the late Jacton Milanya, Risper Milanya, Judith Nyaim and Richard Milanya.

He was the son of the late Sospeter Magu Gathiong’o and Jedidah Wanjiku Magu,

Husband of Alice Wambui Gathiong’o. Father of the late Ronald Maina, Emily Muthoni, Jacinta Nduta, Susanne Wanjiku, Moses Itonyi, Joshua Kamwereand NancyWairimu.

Son-in-law of the late Moses ltonyi and the late Margaret Nduta ltonyi.

Father-in-law of the late Lilian Wambui, James Waweru, Jack Lusson, Rhoda Syokau, and Robert Ikapian. Beloved grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

The cortege leaves Othaya Level 6 Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 21st August, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at Kiaguthu Sports Ground from 10:00 a.m. Thereafter, the burial will follow at his home in Kajaramba Village, Kaguthu, Chinga, Nyeri County.

Eng. Damien Kamunyori Ndwiga

Sunrise: 24th December 1944 — Sunset: 5th August 2025

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Eng. Damien Kamunyori Ndwiga, founder of Danjo Marine Services (formerly of Kenya Ports Authority), which occurred on Tuesday, 5th August 2025 at Mombasa Hospital.

Damien was the beloved son of the late Faustino Kamunyori Kagane and the late Angelica Ciuranje Kagane.

A devoted husband of Joyce Rwamba Ndwiga. He was a loving father of Angela. Adrian, Mukami, Christine Audra, Joeta, and Anthony; and his children-in-law Julian Engel and Hannah Verry. He was a cherished grandfather of Damian, Zuri, Eli, Olive, and Kaia.

Damien was a dear brother of Nyaga, the late Pelas Nyaga. Njiru, the lace Muchanje, Muthoni and Wania.

A treasured son-in-law of the late Lawrence and the late Hannah Muchungu. He was also a beloved brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his residence in Bombolulu Estate Hse# 44 near Deliverance Church Mombasa from 5:00 pm.

Special prayers and a fundraiser will be held at the residence, on Saturday 16th August, 2025 from 5:00 pm, to cover hospital bills and funeral expenses.

Funeral announcement will be made later.
