George Omondi Obudho (Nyang’ )

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of George Omondi Obudho (Nyang’ ), Advocate of Orego and Odhiambo Advocates, Chulyu Road. KMA Centre, First Floor, which occurred while asleep on 14 December 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Hon Therresah Bosibori Nyangena of Milimani Law Courts and father of Beverly Kerubo Omondi of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and Bradley Ochieng Omondi of the University of Nairobi.

He was the cherished son of the late Michael Obudho and the late Rispa Obudho.

He was loving brother of the late Hellen Obudho. David Ajwang Obudho, and Lorna Ogolla Obudho.

Son in law of the late Andrew NyalionaAbuga and Lenora Kwamboka Nyangena. He was a loving uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to many .

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Farewell Home Eldoret on 8th January 2026 followed by a requiem mass at Eldoret High Court of Kenya.

Burial will take place on the 9th of January 2026 at Kimumu Eldoret East.

Margaret Naini Njenga

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Margaret Naini Njenga after bravely battling illness, who until her demise was a teacher at Kiriithiru Primary School in Muranga County.

Beloved daughter of the late Raphael Njenga Gachunga and Feresiah Nyambura Njenga.

Loving wife of Leonard Nduati Mwangi. Precious mother of Lawrence Mwangi, Lynette Njeri and Leon Nienga.

Devoted Sister of Felista, Cecilia, John, Peter and the late Edwin and Catherine Njenga.

Sister-in-Law of Esther Mark, Mumbi, Purity, Millicent, Gerald, Eunice, Nicholas, Wanjiku, Netta and the late Donald.

The cortege leaves Mwai Kibaki Referral Funeral Home – Othaya on Tue 6th 2026 at 8:00 am followed by a funeral mass at their Kiriaini home, near Kiriaini town, Muranga County from 10am.

Lucy Doyi Kihamba

Sunrise: September 8th 1968 – Sunset: December 26th 2025

The National Biosafety Authority is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ms. Lucy Doyi Kihamba, which occurred on 26th December 2025 at Coptic Hospital. Until her demise, Ms. Kihamba served as the Deputy Director HR at the Authority.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Maurice Konya. Mother of Nixon and Brian Konya.

Daughter of the late -Mr. Javan Kihamba and Mrs. Joyce Kihamba. Sister of Musalia Kihamba, Fanis Kamau, Alex Abere, Saisi Stephen, Sally Otieno, and Ronnie Mwenesi.

She is survived by two grandchildren Jermaine and Jabali Mwenesi and was a cherished aunt of many.

Daughter-in-law of the late Adv. D.R.T. Konya and Mrs. Agnes Konya. Sister-in-law of Michael Konya, Thomas Konya, Geoffrey Konya, Pamela Konya-Odimmasi,Wambui Musalia, Peter Karigite, Esther Saisi, and George Otieno.

She was a dear cousin of the Mwenesi, Ovita, Onyino, lndire, Omido, Kaiga, Kidake, Kulumba, Musuya, Wekesa and Wanyama families.

Her body is laying at Montezuma Funeral Home and will depart on 8th January 2026 for her final journey at Sinyerere Location, Cherangani Constituency in Trans Nzoia County. She will be laid to rest on 10th January 2026.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Mary Kwamboka Geteri

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Kwamboka Geteri formerly of NCPB Moi Breach Depot, on 29th December 2025, after a short illness.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Francis Geteri and the late Binsari Geteri.

A devoted wife of the late Moffat Onsongo and the late Abel Nambafu. A loving mother of Nina Moraa, Derrick and Moses. Grandmother of Nikita., Nick, Marjorie and Hakim. A treasured mother-in-law of the Bunyalis. Step-mother of Damaris, Stella, Hudson, Evans and Evelyne.

A cherished sister of Samuel, the late Christopher, Mellen, Philip, the late George, Grace, Stella, Linet, the late Wilfred, Pamela, Veronica, the late Joseph, Mosoria, Onchwati, Kwamboka and Gwaro.

A celebration of her life and burial will take place on January 2026 at 10.00am at her home in Bidii Pombo.

We announce the passing of Mzee Elam Muchai, who rested on 29th December 2025 while undergoing treatment at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the husband of the late Clementine Nasava and son of the late Mukhuyu Luvisia and the late Magdaline Naliaka. He was a loving father of Anne (KPLC), Robert, Hellen (USA), Hildah, Susan, Angela (CEC County Government of Kakamega), Thecla, and Philip; brother of the late Kimingichi, the late Wechifusi, the late Kwasinja, Tali, Kuloba and others; father- in-law of Fredrick Wambua (KRA) and Joshua Amboka (UAE); and a cherished grandfather of Gloria, Shukran, Keziah, Chelsea, Cyril, Chiram, Chavela, Jeremy, Mumbi, Rayanne, Mwangi, Arthur and Joy. Brother-in-law of Wangoywa’s. Uncle of Munialo, Mulati and others.

The body leaves the morgue on 6th January at 2:OOpm for burial on Tianuary 2026 at his home in Chimoi Village, near St. Mukasa Primary School.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rachel Wanjugu Kuira on 29th December 2025 at Aga Khan University Hospital after a bravely borne illness.

She was the beloved daughter of Geoffrey Kuira. and Grace Gathigia of Nyahururu. She was the adored sister of Agnes VVanjiru Kuira and Gladys Wambui Kuira.

Loving aunt of Keith Kuira, Rodney Ngari, Neema Gathigia, Angel Gathigia among others.

Granddaughter of the late Daniel Baru and Rachel Wanjugu Baru and the late John Ngari and Wanjiru Ngari. Cousin, niece, and friend of many.

Rachel was a valued colleague at UNICEF Kenya where she served as a Senior Executive Associate.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers at the Nairobi Chapel Kiambu Road church grounds (Behind Quickmart Thindigua) from 5.00prn till Monday 5th January, 2026.

Son of the late Mzee Richard Onyango Ongeche and the late Mama Joyce Clara Odemba Onyango of Alego, Nyadhi, Siaya County. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Francis Odera and the late Mama Christine Odera of Gem-Uranga, Siaya County and Husband of Vivianne Damar Odhiambo.

Father of Shawn Melvin Onyango Odhiambo and Allan Otieno Odhiambo.
