She was a mother-in-law of Jane Gacheru, Charity Mbuthia and Richard Kavila.

She was the grandmother of Emanuel Mutuku, Jewel & Isaac Yamina, Alexandra Mbuthia, Eva Mutuku, ohn-Paul Mbuthia and Nathan Mungai. She was the adopted cucu of Carol Wanjiku and Alfred Murimi.

Anne Wanjiru Gacheru was the daughter of Newton Munyiri and Mary Ngima. Her siblings included Wanja, the late Gathoni, the late Wamuyu, Mwangi, Waithaka, Nyaguthie, Maina and the late Kibui. She was a mother, an Auntie, grandmother, friend and her life touched so many.

The cortege leaves Kibugi Funeral home on Friday, 8th August, 2025, at 07:00AM. The church service will start at 11:00AM followed by internment at her Karuangi village home in Kirinyaga.

Beloved husband of the late Florence Nightingale Aidi Bila. Son in law of the late japuonj Jeremiah Ogingo and the late Ludia Ogada of Kisumu, Nyahera.

Loving father of Helen Achieng’, Judith Owinga, Millicent Obunga, Kenneth Bila, the late Philip Nyalando, Kathleen Awino, Godfrey Odongo, Lydia Bachheta and Anthony Okoko. Born on January 3, 1987, he was husband of Mary Claire Amali and father of Jonathan, Ivan and Nolan.

The late Mathew Mwamburi Mfuko was the first-born son of Mr. Eliud John Mwamburi Mfuko and Mrs. Rosie Jesca Mrombo. He was a brother of Godfrey Mrombo and Moses Mwangerni, a relative and a friend to many.

The cortege will leave St. Joseph Shelter of Hope Ikanga on July 31, 2025, for a stop-over at his home in Vol Kasarani before proceeding for a church service at ACK St. Peters Cathedral Voi at 12.00pm, and later an overnight vigil at Mlechi Village, Mbale in V\fundanyi Sub County. The burial will be held on  Friday, August 1, 2025 at the same Mlechi village.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Tom Nyakundi Maranga (Rambo), which occurred at Ram Hospital in Kisii on Monday 21St July 2025.

A loving husband of the late Sarah Nyakundi, and of Lydia Nyaoga.

Tom was the son of the late Prof. Japheth Maranga and the late Mrs Hellen Maranga. He was a son-in-law of the late Zachariah Nyakundi and Julia Nyakundi, and the late Silvanus Nyaoga and Josephine Nyaoga.

Tom was the father of Michelle Moraa, Jay jay Nyanchoka, Nikki Kerubo, Zack Sechero Nyakundi, Tamara Nyanchoka, and Miriam Moraa. Father-in-law of Lawi Kipchumba and Korera of Mr Joseph Metto and Mrs Jane Metto.

He was grandfather of Sienna Moraa Mutono.

Tom was brother of Stella, Lucy, Beth, Joyce, Peace, Emily, Norma and Denis Misaci (Jennifer Maranga).

He was uncle of Maimuna, Kibisu, Lugadiru,Wesley, Madeline, Brysen, Samantha and Zuri.

Brother in-law of the Nyakundis and the Nyaogas.

He was nephew of the Secheros and Maindas, and a cousin, friend and neighbour to many.

Family and friends are gathering daily at the family home.

Fundraising will take place on Wednesday 30th July 2025 at the Metamaywa home at 3.00 PM.

The cortege will leave Kisii General Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 31 July 2025 at 1.00 PM for his, home at Metamaywa Scheme .There will be a brief service at 3.00 PM on the same day. The funeral will take place on Friday 1st August 2025 at 9.00 AM.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Engineer Celsus Murenjeka Shilehwa (Morris) who departed on 20th July, 2025 following a tragic- road accident.

Until his death, the late served as a Technical Manager at Kakamega County Water and Sanitation Company (KACWASCO). The late also served in similar capacities at Nzoia Water Services Company (NZOWASCO), Amatsi Water Services Company and Pass Africa Ltd Nairobi.

He was a member of Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), Water Sector Workers Association of Kenya (WASWAK), International Water Association (IWA), Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board among others.

Eng. Celsus was the beloved son of the late Frederick Ukondo Shilehwa and Rita Ayurna Shilehwa.

He was a devoted husband of Nelias Waiyego Kariuki (Co-operative Bank of Kenya Ltd).

Engineer Celsus Son-in-law of Peter Kariuki Josphat and Jane Wanjiru Kariuki.

He was a cherished brother of Telesphorus Matekwa Shilehwa (Kenyatta National Hospital), Electine Yahudu (Sabatia Sub-County Hospital (MOH), and the late Anselem Isendi Shilehwa.

He was also a respected brother-in-law of Tabitha, Fred, Grace, Lilian, Moses, Carol, Boniface, Milkah, Patrick and Alex.

He was a cousin of Alfred Amulyoto, Thomas Mukabwa, Anthony Shisanya, Hon. Stephen Mukhala, Faustus Angote, Simon Shitemi, Leah Amulyoto, among many others. He was a beloved uncle of many and he will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Eng. Celsus will be remembered for his kind spirit, unwavering dedication, and the deep love he held for his family and community. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

The requiem mass to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, 31st July, 2025 at St. Joseph Cathedral Parish in Kakamega town at 10. 00am. Later a night vigil will follow at his Webuye home on the same day, followed by another night vigil at his ancestral home at Kilingili, on Friday 1st August, 2025. He will be laid to rest on 2nd August, 2025 at his Kilingili home (near Kilingili Secondary School), Eregi Location, Kaluni Sub-location, Kakamega County.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Jim Mungai Maina, who went to be with Lord on 23rd July 2025 while undergoing treatment at AAR Hospital, Kiambu Rd.

He was the beloved son of John Maina Mungai of Tymstar Motors Ltd and the late Jane Wangui Kiruri-Maina and step-son of Gladys Waithaka-Maina.

Jim was grandson of Cecilia Njoki Mungai and the late Evan Mungai, Gladys Njoki Kiruri and the late Harun Kiruri and Jane Wanjiku Waithaka.

Jim was a nephew, cousin and friend to many, at the time of his demise he worked with Cooperative Bank Embakasi Junction branch.

Daily meetings and Prayers are taking place at Opul by Sagret Restaurant next to Quickmart, -Thindigua along Kiambu Rd at 5:30 pm.

There will be a comfort service at PCEA Evergreen Church – Runda today -Wednesday 30th July 2025 starting from 5:00 pm.

Burial will take place on Friday 1 August, 2025 at Tutu turu Village Kigumo Sub-county, Muranga County from 10:00am.
