She was the loving mother of the late Mrs. Cecilia Adhiambo Josiah, Thomas Adere, the late Mrs. Hellen Aluoch Opondo, Mrs. Cornelia Akoth Chumba, the late Fred Ochieng Opondo Oloo, Camlus Oteng’o Oloo, Moses Okoth Oloo, the late Teresia Banda, Benedict Oguro Oloo, the late Elias Ouma Oioo, Vincent Onyango Oloo, Millicent Oicpo, David Otieno Ondago, Rita Awino Oloo, Martha Adere Oloo, Beatrice Awuor Oloo and Erick Owuor Oloo.

She was the eldest daughter of the late Mzee Camlus Oteng’o Ogada and the late Mama Leonora Adhiambo Oteng’o of Sega Ywaya Village in Siaya County.

She was the sister of the late Markus Owino, Sr. Ignatius Ogada FSJ, Mrs. Patricia Sawa Olotch, the late Mzee Pius Odhiambo, the late Mama Veronica Alego, the late Mama Margaret Owino, Mama Anne Wamulla, the late Mzee Julius Omija, Mzee Michael Apoda, Mama Mary Anyango, the late Mama Rose Akoth, the late Mama Pauline Adidi, Mama Mary Goretti Were the late Mzee Nobert Ouma, Mzee Vitalis Ogola, and Mama Jane Oteng’o.

She was the daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Michael Adere, and the late Mama Agnes Rabilo. She was the sister-in-law of the late Mzee Ouma Adere and the late Mzee Nyajer Oloo.

She was the mother-in-law of the late Ezekiel Othieno Josiah, Mrs. Pens Auma Adere, the late Adriano Diang’a Opondo,the late James Chumba, Mrs. Marianne Kisanji-Oloo, the late Mrs. Jane Olumoti Oteng’o and Mrs. Judith Oguta Okoth.

She was the grandmother of the Josiahs, the Aderes, the Opondos, the Chumbas, the Bandas, the Oguros, Ochieng Opondos, the Oteng’os, the Okoths, the Ondagos, the Owuors, the Onyangos, the Apalas, the Jumas and the Marthas.

She was an aunt of the Oumas, the Nyajers, the Olotchs, the Odhiambos, the Oumas (Sega), the Wamullas, the Omijas, the Apodas, and the Bonyos among many others. She leaves behind many great and great-great grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Matibabu Nursing Home, Ukwala on Friday, 1 August 2025 for a requiem mass at the Ukwala Catholic Church at 10.00 am. Thereafter it shall be moved to her home for a night vigil. She will be buried on Saturday, the 2nd of August 2025 at her home in Kofware Village, Ugenya Constituency, Siaya County.

Hon. Dr. Phoebe Asiyo was the wife of the late Richard Genga Aseto. She was a loving mother of Atieno Asiyo, Aseto Asiyo, Dr. Mary Asiyo, Juni Asiyo, & Caesar Asiyo. She was also a beloved mother of Dr. Alfred Vogel, Jamala Aseto, Don Karl, Doreen Otieno, Nancy Akinyi, & Adhiambo Opondo.

She was the daughter of the late Ker Pastor Joel Omer Ouko and the late Mama Miriam Amollo of Gendia, Kendu Bay. She was a sister of the late Mama Martha Opon Orinda, Perpecua Aoko Gaya, Philemon Ouma Omer, John Ochieng Omer, Joshua Ouko Omer, Asca Apisi Omer, Joyce Odete, Eunice Oyugi, Grace Gor, Retired General Daniel Ojijo Opande, Japheth Olvval, jalango Olwal Ouko, and Patroba Omer among others.

Hon. Dr. Phoebe Asiyo was a grandmother of Otieno Sranfold Asiyo, Aheri Stanford Asiyo, Aseto Asiyo Jnr., Dr. Sheila Aseto, Uhuru Aseto, Jok Aseto, Manuel Ramogi, Phoebe Alma, Lovina Akinyi, Lovinia Aunia, Sam Mboya, Richard Genga, Warren Muga (late), Tyler Tawo, Tamara Mbewa, Phoebe Muga (Bisa), Bezalel Genga, & Precious Ruth Achieng.

She was Great-grandmother of Rheanna Asiyo, Elijah Asiyo, Jamhuri Aseto, Emanuel Aseto, Victoria Roden, Jubilee Roden, and Ethan Amani.

Hon. Dr. Phoebe Asiyo will be laid to rest at her home in Wikondiek Village, Homa Bay County on August 8th, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Peter Wahinya Muiruri on 16th July 2025 after a brave battle with kidney complications.

Son of the late Muiruri Gitaka and Njeri Muiruri.

Loving husband of the late Lucy Njeri Mbuthia-Wahinya. Adoring dad of Leonard Muiruri and Angela Wahinya. Father-in-law of Tony Njoroge. A doting grand-dad of Tegan, Wahinya and Njeri.

Brother of Njau Muiruri, Jane, Kimuhu, Kariuki, Muthoni, Njoroge, and the late Njenga.

Brother-in-law of Lawrence Mbuthia, Gerald, Mary, Kiuru, among others.

He was a dear uncle and a friend of many.

There will be a Memorial Service at their residence in Igegania, Mang’u on Tuesday 29th July 2025 at 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa- Kabati on Friday 1st August 2025 at 7:30am followed by Holy Mass at St Mary’s Catholic Church lgegania, Mangu at 12.00pm. He will be laid to rest at his farm in lgegania, Mangu Location.

The Board and the Management of Social Health Authority (SHA) together with the family of Kiprono Rotich, regret to announce the death of Hillary Cheruiyot Ronoh which occurred on 21st July 2025 at Nairobi West Hospital at 1:53pm, after a long illness.

The late Hillary was born on February 15th 1970, in Lemotit, Londiani Sub-county, Kencho County, to the late Kiprono and Rachel Chepkurui Rotich.

The late Ronoh was our employee stationed at SHA Nairobi Head office.

The late Hillary leaves behind his loving wife Jescar Chepkirui Ronoh and four children; Victor Kibet Cheruiyot-USA, Collins Kiprotidi Cheruiyot-USA, Shirleen Chepkoech-Mor Kabarak High School and Alvin Kipkorir-Pharo Schools Nairobi.

His surviving family includes siblings John, Selma Chelangat Sigel, Vitali!) Cherono, and Samuel Maritim. The late Ronoh had many nieces and nephews.

His late siblings were Francis Rono, Sarah Chebet, Jonathan Rono, Richard Ronoh and David Ronoh.

Family and friends are gathering daily at his Komarock home for prayers and burial arrangements.

The memorial service will be held at Montezuma Funeral Chapel from 8.00 aim to 9 00arn on Thursday, 31st July 2025. Thereafter the body will be transported for overnight vigil in his rural home in Kapket Sub-location, Kuresoi South Sub County, Burial will be held on 1st August 2025 (Friday) from 1000 am at his family home in Tinet Ward, Keringet Division,  Kuresoi South Sub County, Nakuru County.

A cherished mother-in-law of Martin Muiruri, JaneWanjiru, Magdalene Njambi, Bedan Wambu, and Walter Mukuria.

She was a loving grandmother of Muiruri,Wangari, George Mahira, George Wairiuko, Wacuka, Mungai, Charity, Lucy, Ken, Wanjiku, Kigo, Ashley, Timothy, and Nyambura. She was also a proud great-grandmother of Mumbi, Nyambura, lmani, Jelani, and Toria.

FUNERAL DETAILS The funeral service will be held on Friday, 1st August 2025, at PCEA Kahawa Farmers Church starting at 9:30 AM, followed by interment at Lang’ata Cemetery later that day.

Our beloved brother Peter Kimiti Ngunyi has rested. He rested in California, USA at the aged of 63.

Peter was born to the late Marianna Njambi Ngunyi and the late James Ngunyi Wambugu.

He was father of two sons living in Boston, USA. Amani Ngunyi Kimiti and Malaki Mwihita Kimiti.

He was brother of the late Samuel Wambugu Ngunyi, John Ngunjiri Ngunyi and Jane Ngunjiri; Joyce Muthoni Chege and Rev. Francis Kinuthia Chege; Esther Muhindi; Dr. Mary Ngunyi; Prof Mutahi Ngunyi and Dr Judith-Langat Mutahi; and Jane Wangu Mwangi.

He was an uncle to many and a granduncle to many grandchildren.

Peter was interred in Boston, USA on Saturday July 26th 2025.

There will be a private ceremony for family and friends at one of the family premises in Gigiri, Nairobi on August 2nd 2025.
