Brother of the late James Kanyari Gitau, beloved Esther Nduta Nganga, Geofrey Chege Gitau, Regina Wambui Karimi, late Mary Gakenia, late Francis Muiruri, beloved Benadetah Watiri Mwangi.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Wanjiru Mambo and loving father of Lydiah Wanjiku, Juliah Wambui, Michael Wachira, Mary Nyambura (USA), the late Regina Wahome, beloved Catherine Nyokabi and the late Esther Nduta Mambo.

Grandfather of Francis Karuga, Jane Nyambura, Glen Kangangi, Rogers Kironji, Linnet Njeri, Gabriel Mambo, Yvonne Ng’endo, Bernice Wanjiru, Jayden Mambo, Caleb, Poly, Priscila Wairimu, Wilfred Mambo, Wangari and Great grandfather of Clarisa Wambui.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home Thika Road on Thursday 17th July 2025 at 8:00 am for the funeral service at 10:00am at his home ltweku Village Gatundu South, Kiambu County and later laid to rest at the same place.

Agnes Njambi Kamau

Date of birth: 30/3/1963 – Died 7/7/2025

It is with humble acceptance and God’s will that we announce the death of Agnes Njambi Kamau.

Daughter of Willie Kamoni Mugarami and the late Hannah Waithira Kamoni. Sister of Alice Wambui Kamoni, Francis Mugarami Kamoni, Virginia Wanjiru Kamoni, John Kamau Kamoni, Hannah Wanjiku Kamoni.

Beloved wife of John Kamau Chege. Loving mother of Lilian Nyambura Kamau, Evans Gachanja Kamau, Erick Chege Karnau (Peter) & Willie Kamoni Kamau. She was aunt, cousin & grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting at Dandora phase 5 (sharp corner) for prayers & burial arrangements and at Castle Inn Gardens along Garden Estate road.

Burial will be on 18th July 2025 at 01 Kalou, Silanga Location Nyandarua County. The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home.

Benard Kiogora Mugambi

1961 to 8th July 2025

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the sudden transition of Benard Kiogora Mugambi on 8th July 2025.

He was the son of the lace Cornelius M’Mugambi Gikono and the late Paulina Mukomeru.

He was the loving husband of Salome Gaceri. A doting father of Dorothy Kanana Kiogora and Aida Kathure Kiogora. He was the father-in-law of Kevin Ngetich.

He was the brother of Solomon Muthuri and Agnes Mugure, the late Peter Kirima and Kagendo Kirima, the late Jane Mwendwa, the late Robert Kirinya and Lucy Wanjiru Matima, Beatrice Karambu and Peter Orora, and Domiano Kithinji and Dorothy Kanini Kithinji.

He was the son in-law of the late Felix M’Murungi and the late Jennifer M’Murungi. He was a brother-in-law of Justus and Lilian Kageenu, Sarah Karimi, Esther and Dr. Julius Kajume and Juliet and Samuel Gitonga.

Benard was a grandfather to Keenan Kipkirui Koech and Kendy Cheptoo Koech. He was an uncle and friend to many.

A prayer Meeting will be held today, Wednesday 16th July 2025 at Ali Saints Cathedral from 5.30pm.

The cortege will depart from Consolata Mission Hospital Nkubu Funeral Home on 19th July, 2025 at 9:00am. The funeral mass will follow at 10:00am. at his home in Ng’onyi Village, Ng’onyi Location, Meru County.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Beatrice Wanjeri (wa-Karungari), formerly of Murang’a Municipal Council and the Murang’a County Assembly. She was a respected business woman in Murang’a Town.

She was the beloved mother of Leah Karungari and Jonah Wagunya.

Daughter of the late Jonah Wagunya and the late Phyllis Gathoni Wagunya. Beatrice was a dear sister of Edwin Mugetha, Elias Wanjama, Ruth Nyambura, Grace Wambui Kuria, the late Norman Kimani and Tabitha Wanjiru Mwaura.

Sister in love of Cecily Mugetha, Mary Wanjarna, late Stephen Macharia,Vincent Thiongo, Lucy Kimani and Joel Mwaura. She was a loving aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Her presence and wisdom will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are gathering daily at Famous Hotel, Murang’a, and at her home in Murang’aTown (next to KAG Church) from 7:00 PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Kabati Mortuary on Friday, 18th July 2025, at 8:00 AM, for a funeral service at ACK St. James, Kanyenya-ini, from 11:00 AM. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at the family home in Kanyenya-ini, Murang’a County.

Joseph Walela Wasike

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK) announces the passing of Mr. Joseph W. Wasike, which occurred on Monday, 7th July, 2025, after a short illness.

He was the beloved son of the late Mr. Samwel Wasike and the late Mrs. Salina Waninda of Bungoma County. He was a loving brother of Margret, lsaac,Alice, and Joseph.

A memorial service in his honour will be held on Wednesday, 16th July, 2025, at The Co-operative University of Kenya, Main Campus – Karen, starting at 2:00 p.m.

The cortege will leave Life Care Hospital Mortuary, Bungoma. on Thursday, 17th July 2025, with the funeral service and interment scheduled for Friday, 15th July 2025, in Namwela Village, Chwele – Bungoma County.

Joseph will be fondly remembered for his humility and exemplary service. His legacy continues to inspire all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Joseph Alexander Mwangi Githiga, which occurred on the 13th of July 2025.

Alex was the beloved son of Dr. Duncan Githiga Mwangi and Margaret Wangui Mwangi. Eldest brother of Paul Mbugua Githiga, Mary Wangari Githiga and Anne Wambui Githiga.

Father of Brian Mutuma and Mark Githiga.

He was a cherished nephew, cousin, and uncle of the Mwangi family of (chichi and Gitachu family of Gatanga, in Muranga, as well as a loyal and faithful friend to many over the years.

The cortege will depart from Chirom6 Funeral Parlour, Chiromo Lane off Riverside Drive on 19th Saturday July, 2025 at 7.00am and thereafter the funeral mass and burial will be held at the family’s home in Mutahacio Village, Mirira location Murang’a East Sub-county, Murang’a County at 10.00am.
