It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mrs. Rose Wambui Wanjohi Njagi which occurred on 2nd July, 2025 who was a Director at the Executive Office of the President.

Her parents are the late Jotham Wanjohi and Eunah Wanjiku.

She was the loving wife of Dr. John Muriuki of Kenyatta University. Loving mother of Fredrick Muriuki, Jotham Wanjohi and Grace Nyachomba Njagi.

She was Daughter-in-law of the late Fredrick Muriuki Gathwagi and the late Grace Nyachomba.

She was sister of Esther Nyachomba Kinyua, Susan Gathoni Ngugi, the late Sarah Wanjiru, the late Ann Njeri, Robertson Muriuki and the late Samuel Mwangi (Ruwa).

Grandmother of Natalia McKenna & Alaina Wambui; and also to many other grandchildren in the larger family, and friends.

She was a much loved Sister-in-law of many in the Muriuki Gathwagi family.

Prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are being held daily at their Kenyatta Road home from 5700 p.m. and in her rural home.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Friday, 11th July 2025 at their Gaturiri home, Baricho – Sub-location, Karatina, Nyeri County.

He was husband of the late Minnie Wanjiku Gikonyo. Father of Noni and Mike Milici, Esther Gikonyo, Maureen and Mike Flannagan, Nicholas and Dottie Gikonyo and Yvonne Gikonyo. Grand Father of Stephanie Gikonyo, John Beecher, Nicole Gikonyo, Carrie Beecher, Nia Kigozi and Chris Gikonyo.

He was brother of the late Nellius Wachinga, Paul Ndugi, Samuel Gichimu and the late Margaret Wairimu.

He was the son in law of the late Erastus Kimani and the late EstherWangui. Brother in law of the late John Mwangi, Mary Stevens, the late Peter Githaiga, the late Elizaphan Maina, the late Josephene Wambui, Priscilla Gakobo and George Ndekele.

There will be a Memorial Service at ACK St. Francis Church — Karen, on Thursday July 10th, 2025 at 11am.

The cortege leaves K.U. Funeral home on Friday 7.00 am for funeral service and burial at his home in Kiawambogo, Murang’a.

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved matriarch, Mama Recho Cherono Sang, which occurred on Tuesday, the 1st of July 2025 following a short illness bravely borne.

Mama Recho was born in Kapsogut, Bureti Sub-county, Kericho County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah and Zipporah Maiywa. She was the step-daughter of the late Sarah Maiywa.

She was the devoted wife of the late Mathew Sang, and a loving mother of the late Wilfred Korir (step son), the late Florence Sang, Bishop Josephine Lang’at (Olenguruone), Evelyne Sang (Formely EPZA), the late Benard Korir, Ken Korir (Formerly Sarova Hotels), the late Doris Sang, Eric Korir (National Treasury) Ricky Korir (USA), and Vincent Korir (KAA).

A treasured mother-in-law of Evaline, Peter, Bishop John, Celestine, Caroline Anne, Diana, and Dr. Milka.

She was a cherished grandmother of Cadigia, Zablon & Phidelis, Joy, the late Noel, Eng, Ean Ronoh & Jacklyn Ronoh, Chris, Jackline, Ivy & Dan, Melvin, Joy, Florence & Sampan, Emmanuel, Rose, Audrey, Cynthia, Martin, Natasha, Samara, Nicole, Natalie, Cedric, Barbara, and Mathew. Mama Recho was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.

She was sister of the late Mary Tallam, Grace Langat, Andrew Cheruiyot, the late Abraham Cheruiyot, the late Cherop, Ezekiel Cheruiyot, Nicholas Cheruiyot, Johana Cheruiyot, Sophia Omanana, the late, Chepkemoi, Weldon Cheruiyot, the late Zeddy Chepkirui, and Pastor Richard Cheruiyot. Step sister of Esther Cheuiyot, David Cheruiyot, Nelson Cherutyot, Flossy Maiywa and Gloria Barimen.

She was sister-in-law of the late Zeddy lrongi, the late Dornes Bett, the late Henry Sang, the late Leah Korir, John Sang, the late Rebecca Rutoh & the late DF sang.

A devoted servant of God who faithfully served in the AIC Church, she stood as a distinguished matriarch, a tireless worker, and a steadfast pillar of faith, wisdom, and strength to her family and community.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Donald Stanley Tingle, who was Director of Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute that occurred on Monday, 30th ue 2025 at Coptic Hospital Nairobi after a short illness.

Son of the late Marcus F.Tingle and the late Frances I. Tingle of Atlanta Georgia.

He leaves behind his wife Amina Tingle. their daughters Sandra, Rachel and Jennies and their sons Miguel, Junior, Richard and Daniel Tingle. Sons in-law, Dan and Johnny. Daughters in-law Peggy and Kristina and his brother James Tingle.

Grandfather to Alexis, Samantha, Marcus, Charlotte, Damien, Samantha, Daniel and Seth.

His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 9th July starting 2pm at Nairobi Church of Christ Eastleigh.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday, 12th July 2025 at his land in Kisamis Village, Kiserian Location, in Kajiado West, Kajiado County.

She was daughter of the late Geoffrey and late Charity Kuira. She was daughter in love of the late Paul and the late Charity Kamwenji Githaiga.

She was mother of Kamwenji Njuma, the late Caroline Wambui, Kuira Njuma, Catherine Wacuka, Agnes Wanja, Githaiga Juma and Macharia Njuma. She was mother in love to Martha Wakonyu, Daniel Wanjahi, Jackson Kamuti, Teresa Wambui and Angela Mwongeli.

Grandmother of  Victor, Terry, Ian, Stella, Calvin, Vanessa, Tasha, Brian, Valentine, Fabialo, Mwelu, Carson, Laureen, Ivey, Rueldan, Stacy and Elvis.

She was sister of Mary, John and Daniel among others. She was sister in love of Millicent, Samuel and Mercy among others.

Burial preparation meetings are being held daily at Gathehu home near Karatina.

The cortege leaves Jamii hospital mortuary Karatina on 9th July 2025 at 8.30 am. Funeral service will be held at PCEA Gathehu Church and thereafter interment at her Gathehu home.

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of George William Otumba Agutu, formerly of the Ministry of Co-operatives Development — Kano Kobura, Rabuor, Kisumu County, who peacefully departed on 28th June 2025.

Fondly known as G.W., he was the beloved son of the late Mzee Japheth Agutu Ochieng’ and the late Mama Jane Asesa (Nyar Chianda) of Kano.

G.W. was a devoted husband of the late Mary Otumba, Monica Otumba, and Emmaculate Otumba.

He was a loving father of Japheth Otumba (Jeff), Eveline Achieng, Jane Al<inyi, Sarah Maurine, and Jane Asesa.

He was a clear brother of the late Alice Adero Ogolla, the late Erick Lago Agutu, the late Pamela Misiga Okolo, the late Joshua Oluoch, Janet Omulo, Ruth Wamwenie, Rev Fr Malachi Odindo, and Benter Okoth. He was a cherished grandfather, uncle, mentor, and friend to many.

Funeral Arrangements:

The cortege will leave Star Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu (Town) on Thursday, 10th July 2025, for an overnight stay at his home in Kano Kobura, Rabuor (Miti Mbili). The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 12th July 2025, at his family home led by the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), Diocese of Maseno East.
