Duncan Ngare

It is with deep sorrow yet humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the
death of Duncan Ngare which occurred on 5th July 2025 in Meru County.

Formerly of the Technical University of Kenya, he was the son of the late Zablon
M’Turuchiu M’Miringine and the late Julia Wanja Zablon. He was the son-in-law of the Late Gideon M’Murungi and the late Tabitha M’Murungi.

He was the devoted husband of Margaret Nkatha Ngare and doting father of Edwin Murithi. He was father-in-law of Irene Wambui and proud grandfather of Ethan Mutuma.

He was the brother of lsabella Karimi,the Late Jonathan Mwiti and the late Martha Muthoni. He was brother-in-law of the M’Murungis of Kinjo,Katheri.He belonged to the larger M’Raaria family.

Meetings are ongoing at his home in Kithirune and one will be held in Nairobi at St. Andrews on Tuesday 8th July 2025 from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Cool Breeze Funeral home on Friday, 11lth July 2025 at 8am for a funeral service at Kithirune Methodist Church followed by a burial at his home in Kamurita, Kithirune.

Kenneth Njau Mambo

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing on of Kenneth Njau Mambo on 2nd July 2025.

He was the beloved son of the late Justus Kabiru Mambo and the late Dorothy Wanjiru Mambo.

A devoted father of Richard & Mercy, Kimberly, Melanie & Paul, and Sean.

Cherished brother of the late Grace, Lucy, Michael & Monica , David & Rose, and the late Joy.

Grandfather of Jeremiah, Rain, Jonathan, Kei, and Zuri.

Ken was a treasured nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend of many who held him dear.

The cortege will depart Montezuma Funeral Home on Mbagathi Way at 9:00 AM on Thursday, 10th July 2025, for a funeral service at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road, Nairobi, at 10:00 AM. Thereafter, cremation will take place at the Kariokor Crematorium at 2:00 PM.

Charity Mulunde Kitonga

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Ms. Charity Mulunde Kitonga, formerly of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) on Thursday3rd July 2025 at The Aga Khan Hospital, after a short illness.

Charity was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. James Kitonga Mulika and the late Mrs. Joyce Ndungwa Kitonga. She was a cherished sister of Catherine Muoti, Musembi Kitonga, Kasyoki Kitonga and the late Sylvia Nzakwa, and sister-in-law of Janet Kasyoki.

She was a loving aunt of Dennis Kibet, Cheryl Ndungwa, Virginia Kiloko, and James Kitonga.

She was a niece of the late Kavoo and Rita Mulika, the late Kavisu Mulika and Joyce Kavisu, the late Mr. & Mrs. Muindi Mulika, the late Veronica Kuluka, the late Francisca Mbinya, the late Musyimi Mulika and Rhoda Musyimi, Mary Kimeu, the late Ruth Munguti, the late James Mutua Kasyoki and Grace Mutua.

Grace Fracia Wairimu Njau

It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing of Grace Fracia Wairimu Njau on June 21st 2025 after a short illness.

Grace Wairimu Njau was the wife of the late Samuel Njau Njama, and daughter of the late Ndung’u Githiomi and Wangechi Ndung’u. She was the last born among her departed siblings Nduta,Wanjiru, Kanuthu, Nganga, Nono,Wangari, and Wakaba.

She was the cherished mother of Mary and Tom Gathanga, Ruth and Thuku Kinyua, Zechariah Ndungu, Martha Njeri Njama, Peter and Jane Njama, David and Mumbi Muriuki, Josephine Wanjiku Njama, John Richard and Nzilani Ng’ang’a and Kenneth Kang’ara Njau. She was also a loving auntie, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Prayer services will be held at St.Andrews Church – Hall 1, today 8th July, on Thursday 10th July and on Tuesday 15th July at 5.30pm each day.

Funeral service and burial will take place on Friday 18th July at the family home in Juja Farm at 10am.

Jashon Albert Ong’ang’o Menya

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dearly beloved father, Jashon Albert Ong’ang’o Menya, son of the late Albert Ong’ang’o and the late Alice Okinyo Ong’ang’o.

He was a cherished brother of Barak Okoth, the late Alfred Odhiambo, Mama Janet, Mary and Jane.

He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Atieno Menya and beloved father of Nancy Menya, Douglas Menya, Isabelle Menya, Dr Donald Menya, Dr Stephen Menya, Akinyi Williams, Albert Menya, EmmanuelMenya and Leon Menya.

He was also a beloved father- in law of Steve Oduol, Sarah, Leah, Travis Williams, Noella and Jenny.

A doting grand-father of Vanessa, Jashon, Lavine, Gift, lzaak, Andre, Lakhia, Lafendi, Quincy, Akumu, Elijah, Okinyo, Samuel, Abraham, Cole, Tulani, Jason, Hawi, Laura, Noah and David and a loving great-grandfather of Stephanie and Abby. He was an uncle of many nephews and nieces.

He was a brother-in-law of Mildred Adero, Peter Omondi, Jackson Opiyo, Pamella Akoth Odul, Rose Ojala, the late Rading Omolo, Lynette Okoth, the late Cephas Kungu and the late Christopher Odhiambo.

The cortege will depart from the Agha Khan Mortuary, Kisumu, on Thursday 3rd July 2025 for-his residence in Tom Mboya Kisumu for prayers and overnight vigil.

A church service will be held at the Winner’s Chapel on Friday 4th July 2025 at 9.00am. Thereafter the procession will proceed to Nyamila-Nyalgunga an overnight vigil. The funeral Service and burial will be held on Saturday 5th July 2025 at his home in Nyamila -Nyalgunga, Alego, Siaya County starting at 9:00am.

Vincent Peter Mutunga

Sunrise: 1972 — Sunset: 22nd June, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Vincent Peter Mutunga, which occurred on 22nd June, 2025 while undergoing treatment at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.Vincent was working with NIS, Kitui County. Vincent was born in 1972 in Nguluuni Village, Kitui County (Central).

He was the fourth-born child of the late Mutunga Masthe and Kamana Mutunga.

A loving husband of Penina Peter and a devoted father of Brian, Glory and Emmanuel Peter.

He was a beloved brother of the late Patrick Mulwa, David, Ann, Kimanzi, Rebecca, Kyalo, Mwanzia, Dominie and Kalunde. Brother-in-law of Mbotela, Robert and Musyoka.

A cherished uncle of many, including Mutunga David, Mwendwa Mula, Mutunga Patrick, Mutunga Mbotela, Mutunga Dominic, Emmanuel Mwanz.ia, Caleb, Claudia, and many others.

Vincent began his education at St. Pauls Unyaa Primary School, and later joined St. Charles Lwanga Secondary School. He was enlisted at the Kenya Police College, where he began his dedicated service as a police officer. He later transferred to the Ministry of Interior, where he served until his demise.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Nairobi on Saturday 5th July, 2025. The funeral service and burial will be held on the same day at his home in Syongila-Kaveta, Kitun County.

James Atati Getabu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of James Atati Getabu on 11th June 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Monica Mokeira Mangera, and loving father of Caren, Chris, Kelvin, and Dorine.

Son of the late Getabu Omurwa and late Martha Kerubo.

Brother of Nyakerario, Nyabicha, the late Omao, the late Chakua, the late Sibia, the late Nyareso and the late Peris.

He was a grandfather of Austin, Brianna, Amani, Shawn, Sekai, Briella, Yari, and many others. He was a friend, mentor and uncle to many.

Family and friends continue to gather daily at the family home in Kiserian for prayers and funeral planning meetings.

A fundraising meeting will be held on 8th July 2025 at Nairobi Central SDA Church — Old Sanctuary, starting at -5pm to support funeral arrangements.

The burial date will be announced later.

 

 

Francis Onzere Magamu

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Onzere Magamu, which occurred on June 20, 2025 at Mungoma Hospital.

He was a beloved husband of the late Belisita Kageha and father of Brian Magamu and Mercy Alivitsa.

He was son of the late Magamu Luvembe and Esnas Alivitsa. Brother of Grace Kagonya, Ezinapher Kavayira, Joash Senerwa, Esther Musimbi Gedion Gwedeya, Beautrice Kiganda (the late) and Rose Luvembe. He was a cherished uncle to many and a grandfather to many.

The funeral service will be held at Vihiga, Sabatia Chekombero Village on July 05, 2025.

Gabriel Chomba Kivuti

With profound sadness, we the family of Gabriel Chomba Kivuti, former Director at Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) and former Chairman of SMEP, share the news of his passing on 29th June, 2025.

He was the beloved son of the late Lay Canon Nelson Andrew Kivuti, and Dinah Gicuku Kivuti.

Loving husband of Rev. Connie Kivuti (former General Secretary of Evangelical Alliance of Kenya). Loving father of Joy Njoki, Yvonne Murugi (Geneva) and Abraham Nyaga. Doting grandfather of Tiffany, Chomba, Nalani, Wairimu and Jabari.

Brother of Rev. Dr. Emily Obwaka & Dr. William Obwaka, the late Pst. Gilbert Kivuti & Esther Mutugi (USA), and Eng. Enid Kariuki & Edward Kariuki (USA). Son-in-law of the late Kenneth Thugge, Juliet Thugge (Sweden) and Dorris Thugge.

Brother-in-law of Lucy Nilsson (Sweden), Dr. Kamau Thugge (CBK), the late Nancy Dolfe (Sweden), the late George Thugge, Mary Thugge (Sweden) and Karen Thugge. Gabriel was a caring friend, mentor, cousin and uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at All Saints’ Cathedral Nairobi from 6.00pm on Thursday July 3rd, Friday July 4th and Monday July 7th 2025.

A Memorial service will be held to celebrate Gabriel’s life on Sunday July 6th at CITAM Valley Road at 3.00pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 9th at Ena Primary School, Embu County, at 10.00am, following which he will be laid to rest at the family farm in Ena.
