It is with profound sorrow arid acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of 0ur beloved Matriarch, Mama Jane Eva Lekasi on 30th June 2025, at her home in Enkorika, Kajiado Central.

She was the daughter of the late John Ngiabi and the late Nancy Nyambora.

Devoted wife of Mr. Simeon Lekasi. Sister of Evanson Gichuhi, the late Stanley Chege, the late James Gichtri and Esther Muraya.

Sister in-law of the Florence Gichuhi, Phillys Chege, Charity Gichiri, the late James Muraya,The Loisa’s and The Katembo’s.

Loving mother of the late Dr. John Kennedy, Rosemary Koske, Nancy Nkini, Dr. Stephen Oseur, Patrick Shira, Grace Tito Kimani, Evanson Leshao.

Cherished mother-in-law of Lucy Kennedy, Noel Koske, Nelly Oseur, Dr. Redemptar Kimeu- Shira, William Kimani and Agnes Mbugua.

Adored grandmother (Nkokoo) of Janet Kennedy. The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Saturday 5th July 2025 at 7.30am for burial at Sitoo Farm. Enkorika, Kajiado.

Mama was a woman of grace, resilience and deep faith whose legacy of love will endure through generations. She was the family’s pillar of strength, love and wisdom.

Daughter of Mr. Moses Rono and Mrs. Bornes Rono of Kiptere, Sigowet-Soin Sub County. Loving Sister of Evalyne Rono, Evans Cheruiyot, Edna Rono, the late Edwin Rono and Edward Cheruiyot. Sister in-law of Beatrice Cheruiyot and Joram Mbui; Aunt of Kalya, Kigen, Ryan, Natalie, Zuri, Ashely & Austin.

Niece of the late Zakayo Rono, the late Mary Chumo, Daniel Rono, the late Sarah Koskei, Isaiah Rono, Jeremiah Rono, Rachel Yaem, Dr. Joseph Mutai, the late Dr. John Mutai, David Mutai, Lily Tonui, Beatrice Chirchir, Frank Mutai amongst many others. Cousin and a friend of many.

Relatives and Friends are meeting daily at the Nairobi and Kericho Home to plan for the funeral.

A fundraising to assist defray funeral expenses will be held at Kericho home on Wednesday 9th July 2025 starting at 2.00PM.

A Funeral Service in her memory will be held on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at  Nairobi Central SDA Church starting at 9.00am.

Emmy will be taken back home to Kericho on Thursday, 10th July 2024 for an overnight stay to be followed by Funeral Service and Burial ceremony on Friday 11th July 2025.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Billy Arnold Omondi which occurred on 24′ June 2025 at the Mater Hospital, Nairobi. At the time of his death, he was an employee of the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

He was the son of the late George Onyango Olunya and late Hildah Atieno Oluoch. Guardianed by Jean Adhiambo Oluoch. He was a loving brother of Linda, Churchill, CarIcy & Peggy.

He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy that lives on in the many lives he touched.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home on 8th July 2025, followed by a funeral service and burial at his rural home in Bondo Kapiyo, Siaya County on 9th July 2025.

Dr. Gathu Kirubi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the promotion to glory of Dr. Gathu Kirubi of Kenyatta University, Lecturer in the Faulty of Environmental Science. He was also a director of Sun Transfer, a solar equipment supplier and installer.

Dr. Gathu was the son of the late Joseph and the late Beatrice Kirubi of Mbari ya Mwati Village, Thimu Sub-location, Gathuitu Location, Gikondi Ward, Mukurwe-ini East Sub-County, Nyeri County.

He was beloved husband of Barbara Wambui of Equity Bank, loving father of Andrew Kirubi, Brandon Kirubi (Kianyaga Boys High School) and Mark Kaniaru (Ruaraka Academy).

Brother of John Wachira, the late Peter Gikandi, Mary Waniiku and Baptista Wanjohi.

Son-in-law of Mum Julia Muthuri, brother-in-law of Edwin Muturi, Jeane Chacha, Kevin Karanja.

Prayers and burial arrangement meetings are being held from Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th,Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th July, 2025 at Sagas Hotel, Thika Road from 6700 PM.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Wednesday 9th July at 2:00pm at KU Chaplaincy.

Father of RN Sarah Njoki Karoki (Westlands Specialist Hospital), Dr. Paul Timothy Njoroge (Touchstone Pharmaceuticals Ltd) Ruth Mwaura, Samuel Gachie, Mwalimu Tabitha Njau (Thimbigua Primary School), Anne Mutinda, Daniel Wahinya and the late Rachel Wangari.

He was a father-in-law of Ruth Njoroge (Touchstone Pharmaceuticals Ltd), Eng. Josephat Mwaura (KPLC), Mwalimu Naomi Gachie (NYS), the late Peter Njau, Sam Mutinda and Mary Wahinya.

A doting grandfather of Winnie Kamau, Gladwell Rogers, Joanne Njoroge-Waruhiu, Elsie Njoroge, Jeremy Njoroge; Cynthia, Justin, and Franklin Mwaura; Sophie, John, and Eunice Gachie; Alvin Njau; Philip, Joel, and Andrew Mutinda; Lewis, Clara, and Mungai Wahinya; Lyam and Lincoln Njoroge. He was great-grandfather of Jaber Waruhiu.

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, 6th July 2025 at his home Njiku Village, Banana Hill, Kiambaa Kiambu County, near Nderombura.

The cortege will leave Nazareth Mission Hospital -Tigoni on Tuesday at 8.30am. Funeral Service will be held on same day at 11.00am at ACK St. Luke’s Muthurwa and thereafter interment at his home Njiku, Muuti, near Nderombura.

Loving mother of Benard Nganga Kariuki, Charity Ngendo, Millicent Njeri Mucheneh, Rachel Njeri, Antony Ngaku Kariuki, the late Patrick Peter Ndungu Kariuki, Susan Muthoni and Damaris Njeri. She was a not her-in-law of Anne Wangari, John Mcternan, Charles Mucheneh Ragui, Ledala Kingara and Ruth Wainhur.

The Cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Mortuary on Tuesday, 8th July 2025 at 9.30 a.m for funeral service at ACK St. Philips Kihingo, at 11.00 am. thereafter. the burial will take place at her home at Ruthwu-ini, Kiambu County.

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing on of Kenneth Niau Mambo on 2nd July 2025.

He was the beloved son of the late Justus Kabiru Mambo and the late Dorothy Waniiru Mambo.

A devoted father of Richard & Mercy, Kimberly, Melanie & Paul, and Sean.

Cherished brother of the late Grace, Lucy, Michael & Monica , David & Rose, and the late Joy.

Grandfather of Jeremiah, Rain, Jonathan, Kei, and Zuri. Ken was a treasured nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend of many who held him dear.

Family and friends are meeting at David & Rose’s residence in Karen from Friday, 4th July at 5:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM.

The cortege will depart from Montezuma Funeral Home on Mbagathi Way at 9:00 AM on Thursday, 10th July 2025, proceeding to a funeral service at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road, Nairobi, at 10:00 AM. Thereafter, cremation will take take place at the Kariokor Crematorium at 2:00 PM.
