It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will to announce the passing of our beloved Kerina Awuor Onyango (Nyagot) which occurred on 17/6/2025 at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

Daughter of the late Mzee Shadrack Onyango Ogwel and Mama Jenifer Sidha Onyango of Uholo West Location, Rambula South Sub-location, Sinan/Mudaho Village, Siaya County. Step-daughter of the late Mama Margaret Oyenga and Mama Joice Wayumb.

Mother of Rachel Achieng’ Odhiambo of St. Louis Missouri.

Beloved sister of the late Walter and Bonface. Also sister of Steve Ogwel (Unique Offers Consultants), Eng. Bernard Onyango (Min: of Water, Sanitation & Irrigation, State Dept. of irrigation & Drainage), Martin Onyango (Images Architects), Andrew Onyango (Min. of Interior & National Administration, Correctional Services, Rumuruti), Paul of North Carolina, Millicent Tutlam of St. Louis Missouri. Her other siblings were, Angeline Owino, Gilbert,the late James, Rose, Hilder, Syprose, the late Caroline & Rose Anyango.

Also sister-in-law of Eunice Juma,Dorothy Oduor, Rose Agwa, Florence Ogwel, Florence Owino, the late Lucy Otieno, Helida Otieno, Mary Ouma, Nial Tutlam.

She was aunty to many and mother to several orphans under her care.

Her body will arrive on 6/07/2025 from U.S.A. Her body will be preserved at Lee Funeral Home.

There will be requiem service ACK St. Veronicah Church South B on Thursday 10/07/2025 from 2.00p.m.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Friday 11/07/2025 early in the morning for upcountry. Burial will be on 12/07/2025 at the family home Sinan/Mudaho Village, Uholo West Location.

There will be fundraising meeting on Thursday 3/07/2025 at All Saints Cathedral Church from 5.00 pm.

 

Henry Kassanu Kesi

It is with deep sorrow and submission to God’s perfect will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Henry Kassanu Kesi, who rested in the Lord on 25th June 2025 in Mombasa.

Henry Kesi was the son of the late Norman Kimega Kesi and the late Jessica Wanjala Kesi.

He was a devoted husband of Rebecca Mumbua Kesi, a cherished father of Jessica W. Kututa, and a loving father-in-law of Silvester M. Kututa. Henry was a proud grandfather of Nia Flicka, Taia Kututa, and Tei Shani, and a doting great-grandfather of Forest Rivers Kesi Kututa.

He was a beloved brother of the late Selina Makombo, the late Nicolas Mafundo, Libin Mwasi Kesi (Kinango), Zablon Mwakima Kesi (Taveta), Jeoffrey Mwakamu Kesi (Taita), and Oliver Mwachongo Kesi (Lunga Lunga).

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary, Mombasa, on Friday, 4th July 2025 at 10:00 AM, proceeding for a Requiem Mass at ACK Mwaluvanga, Shimba Hills, starting at 2:00 PM.

The Funeral and Burial Service will be held on Saturday, 5th July 2025, from 9:00 AM at his homestead in Mwanamkuu, Shimba Hills, Kwale County.

Architect Joseph Wainaina Njoroge

It is in humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory a Architect Joseph Wainaina Njoroge of Precision Archiplans.

He was the beloved husband of Frasiah Kabura Wainaina. Loving father of Caddy Nyambura (Mt. Kenya University), Darius Njoroge (Njiris High School) and Dillon Ngugi (Damacrest School).

He was the son of the late Godfrey Njoroge Mbugua and the late Peninah Gathoni Njoroge. Brother of the late Dominic Mbugua, Margaret Wambui, the late David Karanja, Veronica Njoki, Lucy Nduta, Rachel VVairimu, Samuel Mukundi and Peter Kimani.

Prayers and burial arrangements are taking place daily at his Muthiga home, Maynar Close, next to Muthiga Academy everyday at 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 3rd July 2025 at 10.30 am for an overnight stay and then St. Joseph Seminary Funeral Home, Molo on Friday 4th July 2025 at 9.00am for the funeral at their home in Mau Summit, Nakuru County.

We regret to announce the sudden demise of Major Samwel Kipkosgei Kangogo of Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi, which occurred on 27th June 2025.

Born on 30th June 1965 at Kapkukto, Tembelio Ward, Uasin Gishu County, Major Kangogo was the beloved son of the late Kutto Kangogo Kiplele arap Mugonyin and Hanna Tarkok Kangogo of Kapkukto Village, Elgeyo Border Sub-Location, Tembelio Location, Uasin Gishu County.

He was also a cherished son-in-law of Mr. Kiplel Kipsambu Keshele and Mrs. Mary Tabarno Kiplel of Kaptagat Scheme.

Grandson of Kogo Sanieko Kipiele.

He was the devoted husband of Mrs. Patricia Kosgei Kangogo (Kosom) of National Oil Corporation, Nairobi, and a loving father of Josylene Kosgei Kangogo (Ministry of Interior and National Government). Meisy Jepchumba Kangogo, Michelle Jerop Kangogo, and Mark Kipkemoi Kangogo (UK).

Brother of David Kangogo. SSP in the National Police Service and National Vice Chairman of the Police Sacco, Titus Kangogo (Portland Cement), Francis Kangogo, Pius Kangogo, and Paul Kangogo.

Brother-in-law of Ruth, Sylvia, Emmy, Emmaculate, Robert, Raphael, Josephine, Winsome, Christopher, Jerotich, Jepchirchir, Kibiwot, and Jemisto.

He was Father-in-law of Seston Kemboi and doting grandfather of Shawn Kibet and Shem Kiprop.

Burial arrangements and prayers are being held daily at his home in Kitengela (Safaricom 2), Wilson Airport Police Canteen (Kabande), Kapkukto, and Plateau.

The cortege will depart for his Plateau home on Friday 4th July 2025, with a Requiem Mass at St.Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, Naiberi at 3:00 PM. Thereafter, the body will be taken to his home for an overnight vigil. The burial will take place on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at his Plateau home, Kipsinende Location, Uasin Gishu County, starting at 9:00 AM.

Dr. Gilbert Njuguna Muthee

He was the beloved husband of the late Retired Elder Mrs. Edith Mumbi Njuguna and cherished father of Anthony Mungai (Chrysal Africa, Anne Gathenji (USA) and William Gatoto (NCBA). He was a father-in-love of Phyllis Mungai, Leroy Gathenji and Wairimu Gatoto.

He was a brother of Esther Wambui, Lucy Mukere, Witfred Njogu, Arthur Kamanga and Daniel Njoroge.

He was a cherished Guka of Victor Njuguna Mungai. Nathan Muturi Mungai, Lisa Mumbi Mungai, Myron Mbuthi Gathenji, Meghan Wangari Gathenji, Myles Njuguna Gathenji, Mumbi Gatoto, and Njuguna Gatoto.

He was a son-in-law of the late William Gatoto and the late Esther Njeri Gatoto. His in-laws are the Muturis, Gathenjis and Wanyutus. Brother-in-law of Judy Wanjiku Gatoto, Daniel Wanyoike Gatoto, Peninah Mukami, Samuel Ngaru Gatoto, Lydia Mugure, Benedetta Nduta, Grace Ngendo and the late Joe Njau. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral Home on Friday 4th July 2025 at 8.00 a.m. for a funeral service at the PCEA Gathangari Church at 10.30 a.m. The body will be interred at their home in Gitiha, Githunguri Sub-county, Kiambu County.

Ruth Wambui Murungaru (Wamuriuki)

We announce with profound sadness and immense gratitude to God the passing of our Matriarch Ruth Wambui Murungaru (Wamuriuki) on Tuesday June 24, 2025 after a long and eventful life.

She was the widow of the late David Murungaru Gakuru and daughter of the late Muriuki wa Mvvirikia and Muthoni mwari wa Muchoki.

She was mother of Fredrick Wachira, Julius Muriuki, Christopher Ndarathi, the late Erastus Waniohi, Irene Wanjiku, Aurelia Muthoni, Lucy Waceke and Janet Wangu.

She is survived by two siblings Lucy Njeri and Timothy Ngari and was blessed with many grand and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at St. Andrew’s Church, Nairobi and at her home in Munyu, Kieni East, Nyeri County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday July, 5th 2025 at her home in Munyu, Kieni East Sub county, Nyeri County starting at 10:30 am.

Beloved wife of Rtd. Mwalimu Robinson Thiaka Gaturu. A loving Mother of Oscar Mutega, the late Jamlick Wachira, Florence Mukami, Bilha Wambui Kariuki, Job Wachira, Caleb Wangombe and Moses Nyamu.

She was the daughter of the late Jamlick Wachira and the late Margret Wambui. Sister of the late Nancy Gakui, the late Washigton Gichuki, Frashier Njoki, the late Naomi Wangeci, George Irungu, Anthony Mwangi, Samuel Maingi and Phashiti Wanjiru. She was grandmother of many.

Son of the late Ken Kipchirchir Barng’etuny and Vivienne Jepkemboi Barng’etuny. Brother of Chelsea Chepkoech and Cybil Chemurgor.

Nephew of Eric Barng’etuny and many others. Uncle of Jesse, Meera and Jasmine. A beloved nephew, cousin and a friend to many.

Belinda Kerubo Nyauma

Belinda was a beloved daughter of Reuben Nyauma (Kenya Airforce) and Hyline Moraa of Port Health (JKIA). She was sister of Sheila Kemunto, Beryl Norah and Gift Arnold.

Belinda was the beloved granddaughter of the late Nyauma Masaki, the late Ebisiba Kerubo, and the late Elmelda Kerubo of Kineni Settlement Scheme. and the late Zachariah Nyachieng’a and the late Askah Bochere of lbucha She was a dear niece of Dr. J.R Nyauma, Tom Mong’zire, Eli1ah Morara, Col. (Rtd) Masalo Nyauma, Rudiah Nyauma, Fred Ondari, Bethwel, Rebecca Motuka. the Nyaumas. the Nyachieng’as, the Orinas, the Nyakoes, the Moengas among others.

Belinda was cousin to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her parents’ home in Victoria Court Road B in Utawala and Kineni Settlement Scheme, Borabu for burial preparations.
