It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Ambassador Boaz Kidiga Mbaya, CBS, MBS, which occurred on Sunday, 22nd June 2025, at his home in Gaigedi. Amb.

Mbaya was the beloved husband of Florence Janika Mbaya, devoted father of Felix Kidiga, Fidel Mwaki, and Della Jahonga, doting grandfather of Nathan Kidiga Mwaki and Dash Robbins Mularna, dear son of the late Joram Kidiga and Dorika Kaluhi, earnest brother of Javan Navade (deceased), Ayiga Kidiga (deceased), Caleb Anzigale, EzinafaVigehi (deceased) and Grace lrninza (deceased) and supportive father-in-law to Mabel Tum.

He served Kenya with distinction in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including as Permanent Secretary, Ambassador, and High Commissioner in multiple international postings. At the time of his passing, he was also the Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Analysis (CEPA), and a patron on Gaigedi Primary and Secondary School

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Gaigedi for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The first service will be held on Friday, 4th July at his home in Gaigedi.

The burial service will be held on Saturday, 5t’h July at Gaigedi Primary and Secondary School with internment at his home in Gaigedi from 9.00am.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Vincent Peter Mutunga, which occurred on 22nd June, 2025 while undergoing treatment at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi. Vincent was working with NIS, Kitui County. Vincent was born in 1972 in Nguluuni Village, Kitui County (Central).

He was the fourth-born child of the late Mutunga Masthe and Kamana Mutunga.

A loving husband of Penina Peter and a devoted father of Brian, Glory and Emmanuel Peter.

He was a beloved brother of the late Patrick Mulwa, David, Ann, Kimanzi, Rebecca, Kyalo, Mwanzia, Dominie and Kalunde.

Brother-in-law of Mbotela, Robert and Musyoka.

A cherished uncle of many, including Mutunga David, Mwendwa Mula, Mutunga Patrick, Mutunga Mbotela, Mutunga Dominic, Emmanuel Mwanzia, Caleb, Claudia, and many others.

Vincent began his education at St. Pauls Unyaa Primary School, and later joined St. Charles Lwanga Secondary School. He was enlisted at the Kenya Police College, where he began his dedicated service as a police officer. He later transferred to the Ministry of Interior, where he served until his demise.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Nairobi on Saturday 5th July, 2025. The funeral service and burial will be held on the same day at his home in Syongila-Kaveta, Kitui County.

Son of the late Jiperson Gachanja and the late Susan Njoki Gachanja.

Husband of Anne Nyambura, father of Susan Njoki and Lewis Gachanja, brother of Christopher Mwangi Gachanja, Mary Mugure, the late Anne Wanjiku, the late Milka Wairimu and Jane Muthoni.

Son-in-law of the late John Maina Macharia and Florence Wanjiru Maina.

Brother-in-law of Priscilla Nduta, Simon Macharia, Joseph Mari Wangari and Joyce. He was an uncle to many and he will be deeply missed.

Meetings and prayers are going on at his home in Kiaumbui (PIAI) daily.

He will be laid to rest on Wednesday 217/2025 at his home.

He was the beloved father of Esther Mbula Kahiro, Bernard Ngui, the late Alex Kioko and Justina Kanini. A dotting grandfather of Kevin Maina, Cynthia Wangui, Manuela Regina and Janelle Regina.

Patrick was brother of the late Marita Valusi, Regina Mbaika, Justina Mwendwa (formerly of UN), Assumpta Kavindu, John Bosco Mutua, Sr. Maria Ngui (Sisters of Mercy) and Alphonce Mutuku.

Brother-in-law of Sammy Valusi, Moses Mwendwa (CEZAM & ASSOCIATES), the late Paul Mutangili and Fulgence Lemnge.

Father-in-law of Alec Kahiro and Eddah Awuor. Uncle of Dominic Mwendwajanet Mbula, Mutindi Valusi (Businesswoman, Matuu), the late Diana Mutangili, Joseph Lemnge, Charles Mwanika among others.

Daughter to the late Arthur Mbugua Wangai and Margaret Nguhi Mbugua, was daughter in law to the late Samuel Mutuura Thinguri and the late Tabitha Waithira.

Sister to Esther Wambui, Leah Njeri, Sarah Wanjiru, Fracia Wanjiru Jane Wanjiku, Millicent Nyaguthii and Lydia Muthoni.

Sister in law to Kibe, Oyuu, Kabura, Thinguri, Wangari, Wanjiru, Wamoro, Njeri the late Jack, the late John and Wanjiku. She was an auntie to many nieces and nephews and a grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily from Spm at Senate hotel Juja, her home village Gatundu karatu and at Thogoto near Seventh day Adventist.

The body is lying at KU referral. Burial will be held on Wednesday 2nd July at Gatundu Karatu.

Until his untimely demise, he was working at Chai Sacco Society Ltd. Stephen hailed from Kiolo village, Kinyanka sub-location, Kanthiari Location, Igembe south sub-county, Meru County.

He was the son of James Kaliunga and Salome Nkirina.

Beloved husband of Purity Kathomi. He was father of Blessy Kiende, Denis Muthomi, Pretty Mwende, Precious Kendi and Phoebe Gachui.

He was brother of Charity Karel, Judy Makena, Martin Muthuri,Timothy Koome, Mercy Kinya, Ireen Mukiri, Doreen Kananu, Jackline Gatwiri and Wilikister Murugi.

He was uncle of Kaingongi, Munene, Kanana, Phinius, Enimah, Kenziah, Dyiana, Peace, Cephus, Sharon, Nehema, Oscar, Immanuel, Maxwel, Nicolus, Phenieli, Queen and Arnani.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary on Monday, 30th June, 2025, for a funeral service to be held at ltumbi Primary school on Tuesday, 1st July, 2025 starting from 10:00 am.
