With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of our beloved Family Patriarch, Tata Ndambuki Kivuvo Kyenze, of Mutiuku Village, Kyawango Location, Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County.

Tata was the son of the late Kivuvo Kyenze Ngili and the late Ngindo Kivuvo, and husband of the late Kamonthe Ndambuki and the late Sarah Kalunde Ndambuki.

Father of the late Kimondiu Ndambuki, Phyllis Ndunge (Nduki) Nzivo, Ruth Mbithe, Japheth and Beatrice Ndambuki (USA), Joseph and Faith Kilee, Julius and Janet Kyenze, Daniel and Anne Mualuko, Ann Mwikali, the late Jonathan Kimuli, Elizabeth Ndungwa and Patrick Musya.

Tata was grandfather of fourty-four grandchildren, including Rose Mwangangi, Stephen Mutunga, Joseph Kioko, Victor Kivuvo, Gloria Nduku, Damaris Musya, Brian Ndambuki, David Ndambuki, Claire Mualuko, Mercy Mwelu, Carol Kilee, Rony Ngili, Japheth Kithome among others. He was great-grandfather of thirty-four including Evelyne, Nancy, Eric, Purity, Emmanuel, Dennis, Zuri, Jonathan, Becca, Emsley and great-great-grandfather of thirteen.

He was brother of the following who are all deceased: Kamene, Muthike, Sarah Kaviti, Monicah Nziva, Ngyema and Joseph Kisila Kivuvo.

He was also cousin of Benjamin Mutunga Kiilu, the late Musau Kivuvo, Ngwani Kivuvo,Thomas Ndambuki Kiilu and also nephew, brother-in-law, and uncle of John Luusa, Col. (Rtd) David Kisila, Lt. Col. (Rtd) Jonathan Kisila, Agnes Kisila, James Kyula, Dr Benjamin Musau, and many beloved relatives.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday, 28th June 2025 at 10:00 a.m. EAT at his home in Mutiuku Village, Kyawango Location, Mwala, Machakos County.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Paul Githi, former student at St. Elizabeth School, Karen. Paul passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital (ICU) Langata on 17th June, 2025, after a courageously fought long itlness.

He was the cherished son of Fidelima Nyambura Mwangi and David Karuga Kigunda, grandson of the late Regina Mwangi, nephew of the late Charlie Mwangi, the late Antony Kyengo, Kushi Daniel, and the late Erique Maingi (Force). He was a loving cousin of Myrah, Darryl, Sade, and jibo Kyengo.

Family and Friends are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at the mother’s residence at Panaroma Apartments, Ndwaru Rd from 5:00pm.

There shall be a Service and a Fundraiser in aid of settling the medical bill on Sunday 22″ June 2025 at Panaroma Apartments, Ndwaru Rd as from 2:00pm.

Beloved husband of the late Mama Rebecca Buyaki Okemwa. He was a cherished father of Dr. Florence Mwango (USA), Elijah Mogonchi, Jane Moraa (formerly Kisii Mwalimu SACCO), Advocate Tom Nyangoto, Dr. Evelyne Boyani (USA), Dr. Leonida Kenyansa (USA), and Justin Ombiro.

Mother-in-law of Beatrice Mwiti, the late Mbae Mwarania, the late Martin Kinoti, Mbogo Marete, Mary Muriiki, Eva Muthuuri, and David Jones.

Elizabeth was the Second born daughter of Daniel M’Ringera and Tabitha Kambura, and a dear sister of the late Stanley Kirema, Alice Ntibuka,the late Jason Kiambi, Julius Gikundi,James Kinoti, the late Esther Kathambi, and stepdaughter of Karambu Daniel. She was also a step-sister to many.

She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many, whose lives she touched deeply with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering Christian faith.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. John Thoya Maitha on 5th June, 2025. He was a member of academic staff at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) in the Institute of Maritime and Seafaring Studies.

He was blessed with four children: Emmanuel Karisa, Elizabeth Ndawa, Rachel Ndawa Mapenzi and Angela Anzazi Karembo.

John is mourned by his mother Mama Rachel Ndawa Maitha, and his siblings: Christine Dama (Serena Hotel), James Maneno, Davis Thoya (USA),Adv. Joan Mwaka (High Court of Kenya), Dennis Maitha (Construction), James Maitha (Australia), Jane Karisa (Kenya Coast National Polytechnic), Doris Mwaka (Germany), Juney Karisa (Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports), Byrum Mwaka (MSC Cruises), Benta Karisa (Kenya School of Law), and Bessie Mose.

Family, friends, and loved ones are gathering daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at the family residence in Majaoni, Bamburi (Kwa Maitha), starting at 4:00 PM every evening.

On Friday 20th June, 2025 the body of the late John Thoya Karisa will leave Pandya Memorial Hospital at 8.30.a.m to Technical University of Mombasa for prayers and viewing. Thereafter, the body will be transported to the CRC Mtopanga Methodist Church for a Requiem Mass in his honour. In the afternoon a football tournament will be hosted, a tribute to his enduring passion for the sport and his role in mentoring youth through football. An overnight vigil will follow at his family home in Majaoni, Bamburi (Kwa Maitha), offering time for remembrance, prayer, and reflection.

On Saturday 21st June 2025, the cortege will proceed to the family home in Mzambarauni, Mtwapa (Opposite Greenwood Resort), where a final Requiem Mass will be celebrated, followed by the interment.

As we honour his life, may these moments bring comfort, unity, and healing to all who knew and loved him.
