Helen Mwiyeria Gitari (Helina)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on toglory of our martriach Helen Mwiyeria Gitari (Helina) of Mutathi-ini village, Nyeri.

Daughter of the late Samuel Macharia and Naomi Njeri.

She was a dear wife of the late Johana Gitari. Mother of Nduta and Wanyaga, Macharia and Scholastica, Kihia, Ireri and Nyambura,Wanjiku and Maina, Wangui and Mithamo, Gakuo and Virginia, Wangechi and Ndirangu, Wairimu and Maina, Kangethe and Joyce & Ngure and Njeri (World Class Freight). She was a doting grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother to many.

Meetings are being held in Mugumo- Kamiti Rd and at their family home in Mutathi-ini.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 24th June 2025 at 9.00 am. Followed by a burial service at Mutathi-ini Baptist Church at 11.00 am and final interment at the family farm, Mutathi-ini.

Margret Nyakini Muya

1967 – 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Margret. Nyakini Muya.

She was daughter of the late Elijah Muya and the late Mary Waithera of Rumwe Farm Njoro, Nakuru County.

She was a loving wife of James Kamau Rugio (Kumbakumba) of City Park, Nairobi. Loving mother of Elvis Mwangi and Irene Njeri (Pangani Girls, Nairobi).

Sister of the late James Muchiri, David Muraya, Zacharia Thirimu. Phyllis Thuita (USA), Gladys Nyaguthii (USA), Paul Muraimu (USA), Francis Waweru (USA) and Bernice Waruguru (USA). She was an aunt and grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Jam Rescue restaurant Kariobangi South, Rumwe Farm Njoro, and their home in Boyo, Kangema starting from 6.00pm for prayers and burial preparations

The cortege leaves KU Referral Funeral Home on Saturday 21st June, 2025 at 8:00am. Burial will be at Boyo, Kangema starting 11:00am.

Jeff Muchai Mwaniki (Wakili)

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Jeff Muchai Mwaniki (Wakili) which occurred on 13th June 2025 at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital. He was until his death an employee of Bingwa Sacco Society limited.

He was the beloved son of Naftaly Mwaniki Muchai and Beth Kigo Mwaniki. He was a great brother of Edwin Kigo Mwaniki.

He was a nephew of Florence Wanjohi, Leah Chira, the late David Muchai, Priscilla Muchai, the late Sophia Muriithi, late Joseph Muchai, and the late Loise Kagira. He was also nephew of Nyamu Kigo, late Alice Wanji, Caroline Kigo, Ann Kigo, Florence Kigo, Sammy Kigo, Grace Kigo and Munyi Kigo.

He was a grandson of the late Jeffitha and Ruth Muchai of Karaini Village. He was a cousin and friend to many.

Friends and family members are meeting daily at home Karaini Village for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege will leave Mary Immaculate Funeral Home Kerugoya-Kirinyaga County  on 23/06/2025 at 8.00am. The Funeral Service will be held at ACK St. Barnabas Church Karaini and thereafter be laid to rest at his Parents home at Karaini.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Fredrick Waithaka Ndururi of Mabanda Village, Gatanga Sub-county, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Boniface Ndururi and Ann Nieri.

Husband of the late Lucy Waithaka and Esther Waithaka (Kigumo Bendera High Sch). Father of the late Ann, Sophia (Ministry of Interior), Judy (Gikomba), Winnie, Boniface, Joan, Jackline, Hilda (Norway) and Winnie (USA). Father in-law of Douglas,Tom, Karl, Judie among others.

Brother of Mboi, Hilda, Kabati, Mwangi, Rose, Benson, Charles, late Margaret, late Rachael and the late Cecilia.

Brother in-law of Ann, Rhoda (USA) among others. Step brother of the late Peter Mburu, Elias Mugwe, Stanley Waithaka, Chief Kabati among others. He was uncle, cousin, grandfather, friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Thika – Ngoingwa and at his rural home in Mabanda starting at 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, 22nd June 2025 from 3.00pm at P.C.E.A Ngoingwa church, Thika.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati on Tuesday, 24th June 2025 at .00am, followed by a funeral service and interment at his home in Mabanda, Gatanga Sub-county starting at 10.00am.

Loving wife of Wesley Kirui of Kerundut village, Nyongores Ward in Bomet County. Mother of Nlicanor, Isadora, Theodore and Theodora.

Sister of Odhier, Pamela, Ondeng’, the late Ochieng. Olwang’a. Jacky. Mercy, Mary, Dorry, Mulo and AnnLucy.

Funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday 21/06/2025 as from 0900 hours.

Peter Isidore Juba Mbaye

It is with deep sorrow that the family of the late Mzee Vincent Mbaye announces the passing of their son, Peter Isidore Juba Mbaye, which occurred on 9th June 2025 at Nairobi Hospital. Peter was a dedicated educator who taught at Lenana School and later served as a Deputy Principal at Ruaraka High School, Nairobi.

He was the son of the late MzeeVincent Mbaye and the late Mama Francisca Ojow of Nango Village, Central Sakwa.

A loving husband of Cheryl Majiwa ot the National Treasury, and a devoted father of Vincent, Kristle and Mathew Juba. He was also a legal guardian of Lucky and John Mbaye.

Peter was a brother of Florence Awuoche, George Mbaye, Tom Mbaye, the late William Mbaye, Anna Ombaka, Hon. Mary Ascon, the late John Mbaye, and the late Maurice Mbaye.

He was a brother-in-law of the late Robert Awuoche, Zawadi Mbaye, Pamela Mbaye, Diana Mbaye, Ascon Ouma Mbori, Simeon Ombaka, and Alseba Odiemo.

He was the son-in-law of Mzee James and Mama Consolata Majiwa of Ogwedhi, Sigawa – Migori County, and a brother-in-law of Beatrice, Grace, Virah, Evans, and Steve Majiwa.

The family wishes to invite friends and well-wishers to two fundraising meetings to support the funeral arrangements: • Friday, 20th June 2025, 4:00pm at Nairobi City Hail. • Saturday, 28th June 2025, 2:00pm at Nairobi City Hall.

The body is currently lying at Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi. It will be removed on Thursday, 3rd July 2025,for a Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi, followed by a night vigil at his home in Bulbul, Ngong.

The burial will take place on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at his ancestral home n Nango Village, Central Sakwa, under the auspices of Nyangoma Catholic Parish.

Michael Ngugi Waithaka

It is with great humility, love and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved Michael Ngugi Waithaka. He was promoted to glory on 14- June 2025 after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation (Acts 13:36).

Son of the late William Waithaka Muchugia and the late Lucy Wamuhu. Step-son of Alice Mumbi Waithaka. His parents-in-law were the late Wallace Karita Mbagara and the late Hannah Wangui Karita.

He was the third-born among his siblings: Stephen Kamuyu, Stanley Mbugua, Christopher Muchugia, Francis Kahanya, Josephat Kamau, Paul Mbugua, Lucy Ngendo, George Nenga, Teresia Wangari, Peter Njuguna, the late Joseph Muchugia, the late Peter Kimani, the late Anthony Heho, the late Josephat Njuguna, and the late James Waiganjo.

Beloved husband of Teresia Wanjiku. He was a dotting father of James Waithaka, Ruth Wamuhu, George Karita, Alfred Muchugia (Joe), Peter Mbagara and Ann Wangui.

He was a father-in-law of LydiahWanjiru, Dr Agnes Karita, and Mirriam Wanjiru.

He was a proud grandfather of Dr. Jeremy Ngugi, Michael Ngugi Waithaka, Kendra Wanjiku, Michael Ngugi Karita, Daniel Ng’ang’a, James Waithaka, Kayla Wanjiru, Lucian Limo, Megan Wanjiku, Alfred Njane, Julian Kiprop, and Marvel Wambui.

The cortege will leave Uphome Funeral Home (Uplands) on Tuesday 24 June 2025, at 8.00am. The funeral service will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church Kirenga (Rukuma) and will be laid to st at his Kongothiria home thereafter.

Mother of Nyokabi Kimari, Waiguru Kuria, the late Gathuo Kuria, Nyumu Kuria, Wanjiru Kuria (USA) and Mbuthia Kuria. Step-mother of the late Nyokabi Mwaura, Wanjiku Mathu, the late Kamau Kuria, Job Kuria (USA), Mwaniki Kuria (USA), John Kuria, Kibui Kuria and Munga Kuria (USA).

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Mr. Julius Kandie Kamar of Kenya Airports Authority (K.A.A), Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following a short illness bravely borne.

He was beloved husband of Betsy Jepyegon Chesang. Father of Edwin Kandie, Jerop kandie and Lewis Kandie.

Son of the late Kamar Chepkong’a, Kabon Kaniar, step-son of Teriki kamar.

Brother of the late John, Samwel, Richard, William, David, Vincent, Isaiah, the late Jane, Ever-line, the late Tecla, Veronica, Josephine and Susan.

He was a cherished grandfather of Maxine, Rodger and Ashline. He was also uncle to many.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on 21st June 1025 to his rural home Kamar Village, Emining Ward, Mogotio Sub County in Baringo County. The final rites will be held on the same day, beginning with a funeral mass, followed by internment at his home.

It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mr. Philip Kibet Maritim on 12th June, 2025.

He was born to the late Anna Ngeny.

He was the loving husband of Evaline Chepkemoi Maritim. Caring father of Maureen Cherono, the late Alvin Kipkoech, Allan Kiptoo Bett, Laureen Chemutai and Noel Kipkirui.

He was son-in-law of the late Joel and Recho Cheruiyot. He was a loving brother to 5 siblings.

He previously worked at KQ, Complex Ariels Enterprises, and the Unit Cool Solutions EA Limited (Superflio).

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, 19th June 2025 at 10:00 am at ACK St Edmund and thereafter there will be a fundraising at his Utawala and Kiboromo residence.

The burial will be on Saturday, 21st June 2025 at his residence in Kiboromo, Bomet.
