It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister and teacher, Dinah Kerubo Nyakweba, on 2nd June 2025 at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Dinah was the beloved daughter of Nelson Kebira Oginda and Abigael Kemunto Kebira.

Loving wife of Kennedy Nyakweba. Cherished mother of Zachary, Faith, and Ruth Nyakweba.

Daughter-in-law of the late Sylvanus Nyakweba and Daniel Nyasimi, and Rael Mogiti, Jerusha Bwari, and Teresa Mong’are.

She was sister of Aaron, Beatrice, Joseph, the late Amos, Nyaribo, and Aburi.

Sister-in-law of David, James, Lawrence, George, Ronald, John, Moses, Jeremiah, Omwando, Zakayodoseph, Evans, Naftali, Joshua, Silas Makori, Dorcah, Queen, Gladys, Grace, Catherine, Beatrice, Esther, Zipporah, Everlyn, Marcella, and Mary Moraa. She was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Dinah was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, worshipping at Rubi SDA Church, where she actively served in the Women’s Ministry and supported the Youth Department. A dedicated teacher of Special Needs Education, she served at Joyland Special School Kisumu and later at Kisii Special School until her passing.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 13th June 2025 at her home in Mosocho, Kisii County, starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow thereafter.

Her body will arrive in Kenya on Friday, June 13th, 2025. She will rest at KU-Referral mortuary with funeral processions scheduled for June 17th, 2025 at her Home Estate in Kiambu Ruthiru-ini (Karanja Mbui Residence).

Born on January I, 1956, to the late Akach Awino and the late Consolata Nyandiga Ndawa, Joshua hailed from Kanyamwa Location, Komungu Sub-location, Kobodo Division, in Ndhiwa District of Homa Bay County.

Devoted husband of Mrs. Veronica Achieng Okumu, with whom he shared a steadfast and loving partnership. Their union was blessed with four children: Boniface Okumu, Phillip Okumu, Beatrice Okumu, and Kevin Okumu.

His family continued to grow with the addition of cherished daughters-in-law Lucy Nyarwai, Linda Murugi, and Valentine Kerubo, and a beloved son-in-law, Amos Momanyi. Joshua’s pride and joy were his grandchildren: Sandra. Kaylah, Aisha, Meghan, Ibrahim, Kenzo, jamal, Migan, Wesonga, Joel, ldah, Daniel, Alpha.

Uncle of Barrack Akach, Evans Odhiambo, Nancy Atieno, and Sharon, Anyango, Eric Omondi, Henry Ochieng, Felix Onyango, Jack Omondi, Swinny Oguda, Michelle Oguda, Rahael Akach and Prof. Nguka.

Joshua will be fondly remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family and the quiet strength he carried with grace. His warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of many. Through his gentle generosity, wise counsel, and deep love, Joshua left a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.Though he has departed from this world, his memory lives on – in the hearts of his family, his community, and all who had the privilege of walking part of life’s journey with him.

Joshua’s body is currently resting at Kirindo Mortuary. Funeral arrangements are underway, with his final resting place to be at his rural home in Komungu on June 27, 2025.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Leperes of Uasin Gishu County, who left us on 4th June 2025 at Rapha Hospital. Henry was working with NIS Uasin Gichu County. Henry touched many lives with his kindness, genuine love, and generous spirit.

He was the beloved son of the late Elphas Konyi and the late Fayrose Konyi, a devoted husband of Annah Naibei. A cherished father of Lewis, Damaris, Eddah, Sharoon, Doreen, Joy, Victoria, Elly, Enock, and Erick.

He was a dear brother of Sylvia, the late Eunice, Sammy, Alex, the late Albert, Chebet, Mwanga, Juliet, Rosalyne, and Lucia.

Son in-law of the late Wilson Senden and Salome Sender). Brother-in-law of janeline, Ann, Nelly, Lilian, Martin, David,Titus, Manasseh, Rose, Jane Kinjo, and Christopher. He was also a loving uncle and a dear friend to many, as as a proud grandfather of Gaol Junior and Travis.

Henry will be forever missed.
