Dinah Kerubo Nyakweba

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister and teacher, Dinah Kerubo Nyakweba, on 2nd June 2025 at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Dinah was the beloved daughter of Nelson Kebira Oginda and Abigael Kemunto Kebira.

Loving wife of Kennedy Nyakweba. Cherished mother of Zachary, Faith, and Ruth Nyakweba.

Daughter-in-law of the late Sylvanus Nyakweba and Daniel Nyasimi, and Rael Mogiti, Jerusha Bwari, and Teresa Mong’are.

She was sister of Aaron, Beatrice, Joseph, the late Amos, Nyaribo, and Aburi.

Sister-in-law of David, James, Lawrence, George, Ronald, John, Moses, Jeremiah, Omwando, Zakayodoseph, Evans, Naftali, Joshua, Silas Makori, Dorcah, Queen, Gladys, Grace, Catherine, Beatrice, Esther, Zipporah, Everlyn, Marcella, and Mary Moraa. She was a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Dinah was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, worshipping at Rubi SDA Church, where she actively served in the Women’s Ministry and supported the Youth Department. A dedicated teacher of Special Needs Education, she served at Joyland Special School Kisumu and later at Kisii Special School until her passing.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, 13th June 2025 at her home in Mosocho, Kisii County, starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow thereafter.

Lovely daughter of Patrick Munyui Kamau & the late Teresia Kalondu Munyui.

Daughter in-law of the late Chrispus Mugi Muregi & Hannah Njoki Mugi.

Sister of William Kamau, Bridgit Wanja & Raphael Mbithi.

Sister in-law of the late Eng. David Muregi, Priscilla Nyakio, David Njenga, the late Irene Wangari, Francis Karanja, Alice Wambui, Ruth Waithira, Gerald Ngigi & the late Naomi Wanjiru, Auntie, Cousin, Grandma, Friend and Colleague to many.

Daily prayers and meetings are being held at her home, Riverside Estate, Kiambu Town at 5:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Funeral Home – Bypass on Monday, 16th May 2025 at 8.00am. Thereafter, funeral service and burial will take place at Kagaa Village, Lari Constituency, Kiambu County at 11:00 am.

 

Dr. Kennedy Amuhaya Manyonyi

With deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the untimely demise of Dr. Kennedy Manyonyi, which occured on 6th June 2025 at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi. He was the CEO Designate, Salus lnfirmorum Teaching Research and Referral Hospital.

The son of the late Mark and the late Eddah Manyonyi.

The loving husband of Dr. Gloria Susan Omosa-Manyonyi and doting father of Gabriella, Francesca and Bakhita.

Brother of Caroline, Raymond, Patrick; and the late Aggrey, Erick and Maria.

Uncle of Brandon,Yvette, Rita, Imelda, Cynthia, Bianca, Akeem, Jalil, Hedwig, Cedric and others.

Son in-law of Rufina and the late Peter Omosa.

Requiem Mass will be held at the St. Austin’s Catholic Parish Church Lavington on Thursday 19th June at 1:00pm.

The cortege leaves the Lee Funeral Home on Friday 20th June at 8.00 am for the Burial on Saturday 21st June 2025 at their farm in Shimanyiro location, Kakamega.

January 14,1956 – May 28, 2025

It is with heavy and humbled hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann waithira Karanja on May 28, 2025, while undergoing treatment for breast cancer at Birmingham, Alabama. USA

Her body will arrive in Kenya on Friday, June 13th, 2025. She will rest at KU-Referral mortuary with funeral processions scheduled for June 17th, 2025 at her Home Estate in Kiambu Ruthiru-ini (Karanja Mbui Residence).

Ann was a devoted & virtuous wife, mother, grandmother, and sister

We regret to announce the demise of Mama Rachel Achieng Matiku of Seme, Kombija, Kisumu County.

She was the daughter of the late Christopher Koga and the late Rosa Awiti.

She was the wife of the late Simon Odhiambo Matiku. Doting mother of Sandra Amondi Matiku. Grand mum of Thomas Jaden Omollo. Mother in-law of FCPA Hesbon Omollo, Dr. Raymond Omollo, Wilfred, Roy, Dr. Ezra.

Sister of Fredrick, Edward, Elizabeth and Joab.

Her brothers in-law are Edward, Kennedy, Kenneth, Douglas, Peter and Benson.

She was auntie of Victor, Anne, Brenda Catherine, Annette, Nesy, Candy amongst many others.

The cortege will leave the Agakhan Mortuary Kisumu on Thursday 12th June 2025 for an overnight vigil at her residence in Migosi, Kisumu then to Seme, Kombija, Alwala Primary School grounds, Kisumu County on the 13th June 2025. Burial will be on the 14th June 2025 in Seme Kisumu County.

Eng.Tony Ngatia Mugo

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Eng.Tony Ngatia Mugo that occurred on 08th June. 2025.

He was son of Martha Mugo.

Beloved husband of Alice Wamaitha. Father of Teshi Ngatia.

Brother of Maureen Wambui, Andrew Njoroge and Kate Njeri. He was nephew, uncle and cousin of many.

Prayers and funeral arrangement meetings are being held every evening at Katani Estate daily starting 6:00pm.

The funeral is slated for Saturday 14th June 2025 at his home in Ratta, Seme Sub-county in Kisumu County.

Joshua Okumu Akach

With profound sorrow and heartfelt respect, we announce the passing of Joshua Okumu Akach, who departed from us peacefully on June 7, 2025.

Born on January I, 1956, to the late Akach Awino and the late Consolata Nyandiga Ndawa, Joshua hailed from Kanyamwa Location, Komungu Sub-location, Kobodo Division, in Ndhiwa District of Homa Bay County.

Devoted husband of Mrs. Veronica Achieng Okumu, with whom he shared a steadfast and loving partnership. Their union was blessed with four children: Boniface Okumu, Phillip Okumu, Beatrice Okumu, and Kevin Okumu.

His family continued to grow with the addition of cherished daughters-in-law Lucy Nyarwai, Linda Murugi, and Valentine Kerubo, and a beloved son-in-law, Amos Momanyi. Joshua’s pride and joy were his grandchildren: Sandra. Kaylah, Aisha, Meghan, Ibrahim, Kenzo, jamal, Migan, Wesonga, Joel, ldah, Daniel, Alpha.

Uncle of Barrack Akach, Evans Odhiambo, Nancy Atieno, and Sharon, Anyango, Eric Omondi, Henry Ochieng, Felix Onyango, Jack Omondi, Swinny Oguda, Michelle Oguda, Rahael Akach and Prof. Nguka.

Beloved brother of the late Warenga Akach, the late Ndawa Akach, the late John Ouma.Also brother of Isaac Okundi, Manash Kidew, Lawrence Oguda, Grace Ndawa, Leonida Akach, Agnes Ndawa, and Serphina Akach.

Joshua will be fondly remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family and the quiet strength he carried with grace. His warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched the lives of many. Through his gentle generosity, wise counsel, and deep love, Joshua left a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.Though he has departed from this world, his memory lives on – in the hearts of his family, his community, and all who had the privilege of walking part of life’s journey with him.

Joshua’s body is currently resting at Kirindo Mortuary. Funeral arrangements are underway, with his final resting place to be at his rural home in Komungu on June 27, 2025.

 

Shepherd Mburu

The family of Thomas and Grace Mburu regrets to announce the sudden death of their beloved son Shepherd Mburu which occurred on 7th June 2025 through a tragic road accident.

Brother of Obadiah Kingori and Loise Mwikya. Brother in-law of Sammy Mwikya and Grace Kingori.

Family and friends are meeting at his parents’ home in Katani, Syokimau.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Mbagathi Way Nairobi on Friday 13th at 6:30am. Funeral service will be held thereafter at their farm in Leshau Pondo, Nyahururu where he will also be laid to rest.

Henry Leperes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Leperes of Uasin Gishu County, who left us on 4th June 2025 at Rapha Hospital. Henry was working with NIS Uasin Gichu County. Henry touched many lives with his kindness, genuine love, and generous spirit.

He was the beloved son of the late Elphas Konyi and the late Fayrose Konyi, a devoted husband of Annah Naibei. A cherished father of Lewis, Damaris, Eddah, Sharoon, Doreen, Joy, Victoria, Elly, Enock, and Erick.

He was a dear brother of Sylvia, the late Eunice, Sammy, Alex, the late Albert, Chebet, Mwanga, Juliet, Rosalyne, and Lucia.

Son in-law of the late Wilson Senden and Salome Sender). Brother-in-law of janeline, Ann, Nelly, Lilian, Martin, David,Titus, Manasseh, Rose, Jane Kinjo, and Christopher. He was also a loving uncle and a dear friend to many, as as a proud grandfather of Gaol Junior and Travis.

Henry will be forever missed.

The cortege will leave Racecourse Morgue on 13th June 2025 and his burial will take place on 14th June 2025 in Sukwo Farm, Saboti, Trans Nzoia County.
