James Njeru Wamae Mbogo

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and dad, James Njeru Wamae Mbogo, who left us to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer.

Loving husband of Colleta Kinanu.

Son of the late Diffatha and the are Rwamba.

Dad of Martin Mugambi Njeru and Fiona Wanjiru Njeru. Dad in-law of Dr. Napo Mugoma and Anthony Muthuri. Grand Father of Aziel Njeru Senior, Eliana Kinanu, Austin Muturi, Janai Njeru junior and Ivan Mwenda.

Son in-law of Paskwalina and Justus M’kwiriga.

Brother of Marigu, Murithi (late), Gicuku, Nyagah, Niue, Muthee, Njoki(late), Muthoni, Wegandu (late), Njeru, Ngari, Cecily, Gatavi, Wanjuki, Wegoki and Njiru.

Brother in-law of John, Mburugu, Kinyuru, Muthomi, Grace and Kauro.

Meetings are being held in the following locations from 5:30pm daily: at His Home in Embu, Makengi-Mutira; At his son’s home in Kileleshwa; and Deliverance Church Kahawa West (His other home).

A memorial service will be held on Thursday the 12th June, 2025 at Deliverance Church Kahawa-West from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm.

James Njeru Wamae Mbogo, will be laid to rest on Tuesday 17th June, 2025 at his Home in Embu, Makengi-Mutira.

He was son of the late James Munyoli and the late Luisa Mukonyo of Kavilinguni sub-location Kakuyuni division Kangundo sub-county Machakos County.

Husband of Loise Mbatha (formerly central bank of Kenya). Father of Eric Munyoli of USA, Maurice Muthama of KCB bank and the late Darius Musyoka. Father in-law of Rachael Munyoli (USA) and Eva Muthama of Spinal Injury Refferal Hospital. Grandpa of Duane Muthama, Ivana Muthama and Jay Jadael Munyoli.

Stephen Mokaya Nyakundi

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing on of Stephen Mokaya Nyakundi, on the 2 of June, 2025 at Pandya Memorial Hospital in Mombasa County. Until his demise, Stephen was diligently working at Harambee DT Sacco as Mombasa FOSA Branch Manager.

Born on 26th January, 1980, to Samuel Getuma and Truphosa Nyaboke of Birongo Location, Koumbu Sub-county of Kisii County.

Stephen was a devoted husband of Mrs. Risper Kwamboka and their union was blessed with three lovely children: Christine Gesare Mokaya, Joan Nyaboke Mokaya and Brightone Mokaya.

He was a beloved brother of the late Stella Nyang’ara, Jared Koroso, Duke Nyangoto and Emmanuel Getuma.

He was son-in-law of the late Philip Onkoba Atemba and Dorcas Moraa of Nyanieni Village, Barongo Location. His in-laws include; Friday Bosibori, Ruth Monchari, Janet Nyanchoka, Pacifica Mokeira  and Damaris Isaboke.

He was a loving uncle of Derick Koroso, Daniel Koroso and Junior Koroso.

Stephen will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family and the warmth and kindness he extended to all who knew him. His legacy is entrenched in the lives he touched with quiet generosity, heartfelt counsel, and enduring love.

Though he has left this earthly life, Stephen Mokaya Nyakundi’s memory lives  on in the hearts of his family, his community, and all those who were privileged to share in his journey.

The late Stephen’s body is currently lying at Pandya Memorial mortuary, and the burial is scheduled for Friday, 13th June 2025 at his home in Kisii County Birongo Location.

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Sr. Mary Michael Shivonekha of Assumption Sisters of Eldoret which occurred on 6th June 2025 at MTRH Eldoret. She hailed from Sango Sub location, Likuyani Constituency, Kakamega County.

Daughter of the late Thomas Shivonekha and the late Ann Shivonekha. Sister of the late Pius, Late Rose, late Phillip, Lazarus and Emmanuel Shivonekha.

Aunt of Charles, Martin, Michael, Faith, Mary Makongo, Mary Injeu and James Shivonekha.

The cortege will leave Moi Teaching and referral Hospital Mortuary on Friday 13th June 2025 for requiem mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral Eldoret at 3 pm.

Funeral and Burial mass will be on Saturday 14th June 2025 at our Lady of Lourdes Turbo Parish from 10am.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the departure to glory of Anna Mwikali Benjamin Kyaka which occurred on the morning of Sunday June 1, 2025, at the Mwingi Specialist Hospital.

She was the first born daughter of the late Mzee Sammuel Muna Lumbu and late Beata Kavuti.

She was beloved wife of the late Benjamin Kyaka Mwei and beloved mother of Major General George Kyaka (rtd), Muna, Makau, Mutethya, Kimanzi, Kelly, Munuve, Joshua and Kavuti

She was sister of late Lenah (Maamu), late Margaret, late Philip, late Kamote, Tabitha, Kinyungu, Martha, Rhoda, late Isaiah, and late Munanie.

She was mother in law of Stella Ndana, Eunice Muna, Christine Makau, Monica Makau, Major General Joseph Kivunzi (rtd), Stella Kimanzi, Lydia Kimanzi, Zipporah Kelly, Eunice Munuve, Elizabeth Mbunya, and Mureithi Koome,

Mama Anna Mwikali had 35 grandchildren among them Ben Kyaka, Mumo, Annah Mwikali, Vicky, Shedrack and Emma. She also had 15 great grandchildren among them, Joan, Mutethya, and Noel.

The cortege leaves the Tribute Funeral Home Syongila Kitui on June 14, 2025 at 7:00 am and the funeral service will take place at Mwanzenge AIC Church grounds from 10 am and thereafter the burial will be at her home in Mwanzenge Village, Migwani Sub-county, KITUI County.

Rosemary Njeri Waweru

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Rosemary Njeri Waweru of Thaara Auctioneers, Mombasa, which occurred on 4th June 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late John Waweru and the late Monica Wambui.

She was Devoted mother of Susan Wambui and John Waweru. Cherished mother-in-law to Victoria Wasike.

Rosemary was a loving sister of Elizabeth Wanjiru, the late Lydia Nyaruiru, the late Paul Munene, the late Salome Wanjiku, Mary Waruguru, Samuel Wambu, and Samuel Kogi.

Sister-in-law of the late Pius Wandie, Boniface Kilemi, the late Martin Thoithi, the late Simon Ndungu, Grace Wahu, and Fridah Karimi.

She was Doting Grandmother of Ryan Njoroge, Ronnie Wambu, and Tifanny Njeri.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and support at her rural home in Ting’ang’a Village, Kiambu, Kiambu County.

Rosemary was a member at PCEA Milele Church, Milele Parish.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home on Thursday, 12th June 2025, at 8:00 AM for the Funeral Service at PCEA Ting’ang’a Parish (Thaara), followed by burial at her rural home.

Cherished son of Joy and Tchioffou. Beloved younger brother of Benny and Walter.

Precious grandchild of Francis and Margaret Wabuyele Nafungo and Michel and Marceline Tchioffou.

Nephew of Julia, Robin, Jescah, Remmy, Joseline, David, Raymond, Lucille, Willy and Brice.

Family and friends are gathering daily for prayer and funeral planning meetings at the home of Joy and Tchioffou in Karen, Fahari Heights off Bogani Road.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, 11th June 2025 at St. Matthew’s Church in Karen-Hardy, from 3PM.

The burial will take place on Friday, 13th June 2025, in Cheskaki, Bungoma County.
