Mollette Achieng Okoth

It’s with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mollette Achieng Okoth formerly of UN World Food Programme Johannesburg South Africa which occurred on 18/5/2025 at the Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu after battling cancer from 2021 bravely borne.

She was the mother of Mackenzie King Okoth junior.

She was the daughter of Okoth Adipo Principal Ndwara and Jedida Okoth Principal Nyadhi Secondary. She was the sister of Felix Okoth of Mulaha Junior Secondary and Lyle Okoth of Jooust.

Sister in law of Diana Sindala of Nyasita Secondary. Aunty of Amelia and Ivan.

Granddaughter of the late Petro and Maria Adipo of Uyoma, Margaret Orwa and the late jacton Orwa of SakwaWayendhe.

She was niece of Alloyce Adipo, Steve Orwa, John Mboga, Ochieng’ Adipo, Oluoch, Justo, Otieno and Odongo Orwa. Her aunties are Agnella Orwa, Mary Adipo, Elizabeth Adipo, Caroline, Donata, Mildred, Florence, Pamela, Miriam, Molly.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary Kisumu on Friday 6/6/25 for burial on Saturday 7/6/25 at the family home, Urimi Nyabera sub location in West Uyoma.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Sylvia Damaris Wanjiru Kioi (Shiru), which occurred on 30th May, 2025.

Sylvia was the cherished daughter of Samuel Kioi and Carolyne Mwarania Kioi. Sister of Dr. Beatrice Camanii Kyalungu, sister-in-law of Charles Kyalungu, close cousin of Beatrice Camanie, Hellen Njeri, George Ndungu, Charles Macharia, Gideon Gathigi, niece of Nancy Njeri Gicheru and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their home in Mugumo in Kiambu for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Referral Hospital mortuary on Friday 6th June, 2025 at 7.00am for a funeral service at St. Peters Kaburugi Parish, Kandara, Muranga County, and thereafter burial at their Imara Kaburugi home.

The family of Evangelist Mzee Caleb Akwera announce the promotion to glory of our dear mother, Mama Priscilla Akwera, that occurred on Monday, 19 May 2025.

She was wife of Ev, Mzee Caleb Akwera.

She was the sister of the late Rosemary Ayiemba Ngobi, the late Livingstone Ngutu, the late Nashon Apacha, the late Jerusa Matende Omutoko, Benson Otemba Marasiand James Ogombo Etale.

Mother of Habel Steve Akwera, the late Damaris Olesi Mlamba, the late Dinah Asiko Lomo, Irene Andenyi Ngochi, Charles Amuli Akwera and Gordon Okinda Akwera.

Mama is survived by in-laws, Caroline Akwera, Andrew Mlamba, George Lomo, lsaack Ngochi, Judy Akwera and Francesca Akwera. She is survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by 15 grandchildren, Suzie (USA), Brian (TZ), Mercy (KE), Mishi (USA),Agnes (Ghana), Emily (Ghana), Elizabeth (Ghana), Michael (Tz), Susan (KE), John (KE), Michelle (KE), Glory (Tz), Sharma (Tz), Joy (Tz), Sofia (USA) and Mathew (USA). There are also 6 great-grandchildren.

The funeral and burial will be held on 6th June 2025 at their residence in ltumbu sub-location, Ipali location, West Bunyore, Emuhaya sub-county, Vihiga County. The funeral programme starts on Thursday, 5thh June 2025, at 10.00 am. The cortege will leave Masaba Hospital to St Peters Church, Luanda and depart from the church at 4.00 pm for overnight stay at the home. The main funeral service will be on Friday 6th June starting at 8.00 am.

She was the beloved wife of Christopher Saitaga Tiampati. Mother of John Roinet Saitaga, Dorothy Naisingoi Saitaga and Scaver Lesalon Saitaga. She was the daughter of the late Beatrice Zilla Wakio. A daughter in law of the late John Roinet Tiampati and the late Dorothy Naisingoi Tiampati. Sister of Lucy Maganga, the late Dora Samba and Scaver Mbogo. Sister-in-law of Betty Senteu, Naini Mose, Kennedy Tiampati and Joan Pereruan. Niece of the late Sophie Manga Kitawi. Cousin of Archie Kitawi, the late George Munene, Eric Munene, Mercy Kitawi, the late Dora Kitawi, the late Stanley Kitawi and many more. A valued aunt, godmother, mentor and a 1 true friend to many.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Patrick Kanyingi Wachira o Marmanet, Nyahururu on 23rd May 2025 after a long illness bravely borne.

He was the husband of the late Felista Wahito Kanyingi.

He was the first born son of the late Wachira Kanyingi and the late Loise Mumbi Wachira. Son-in-law of KarimeWaithak.a and Wanjiku Karirne of Nyeri County.

Patrick was father of the late Hellen Mumbi, Michael Wachira (USA), Anne Wanjiku (Nairobi), James Karime (USA) and Anthony Mwangi(USA). He was father-in-law of Irene Muthoni Karmic (USA). Grandfather of MacKenzie Wahito Karirne, Francis Gitahi Kanyingi Karime and Madison Wangui Karime all of USA.

Patrick was the brother of the late Zipporah Wanjiru Kamau and Jane Wangari Wachira. He was uncle and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family residence, Marmanet, off Nyahururu Rumuruti Road for prayers and burial arrangments.

The cortege will depart from St. Benedict’s Hospital Mortuary, Nyahururu at 8.00 a.m. on Friday 6th June 2025. The burial will take place on the same day at his Marmanet home, Nyahururu. Laikipia County.

Tuma was the cherished son of Kimathi Mutuerandu and Alice Kagwiria Kimathi. He was brother of Tracy Kinya Muriuki and Fridah Nkatha Kimathi he was brother in law of Kelvin Muriuki Mpungu. Uncle of Nathan Mwenda,Isaac Munene and Josie Kanana. Grandson of Harriet Mutuerandu and Janet Karemu.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of our matriarch, Jane Wahu Ruhang’a, which occurred on 27th May 2025, at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, after a short illness bravely borne.

Jane was the daughter of the late Wilfred Githua Njuguna & Hottensia Njeri Githua of Uthiru.

She was wife of the late Humphrey Mwaura Ruhang’a and mother of Anne Wambui (Mwaura) Kariuki, Kimani Ruhanga, Wilfred Githua Ruhanga, the late Samuel Miingi Mwaura and Danvid Njuguna Mwaura. She was mother-in-law of the late James Kariuki Gitau, Serah Wanjiru Mwangi, Susie Githua, Jane Nyambura and Veronica Mukora.

Jane was a sister of Esther Nyaruiru Kuria (Kerarapon), Florence Wanjiru Kinyanjui (Kerarapon), Elizabeth Wambui Chege (Kairi), Rose Wangui Munyua (Kinangop), Grace Wangari Mbugua, Catherine Ngoiri Mbugua, Rosalid Nduta Mbugua, Julius Gikonyo Githua, Agnes Wanjiru Githua (all of Uthiru), Pauline Wanjiku Githua (UK) and the late Njuguna.

Sister-in-law of Gideon Kuria, Peter Kinyanjui, the late Joseph Chege, Peter Munyua and the late Lucy Gikonyo. She was a grandmother, auntie, cousin, friend, neighbour and mentor to many.

There will be a memorial service at ACK St Peter’s Church Uthiru on Sunday 1st June 2025 at 3.00pm.

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Funeral Home at 9.00am on Wednesday 4th June 2025 for a funeral service at ACK St Peter’s Church Uthiru at 11.00am and burial thereafter at their farm in Kahero opposite Skyline School, Ondiri, along the Ondiri-Kikuyu Road.

Prayers and burial arrangement meetings are being held at her home in Uthiru Gichagi daily from 4,00pm.
