An Inter-denominational prayer service will be held on Sunday 9th July 2017 in his Rumuruti home from 2:00pm.

A memorial Service will be held on 13th July 2017 at St.Andrews PCEA Church in Nairobi.

The burial ceremony will be held on 14th July 2017 at his Rumuruti farm.

The late Uncle John wife and children are in Canada and we are trying to organise for them to travel for the funeral. It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the death of Damaris Warura Muchiru on Sunday 2nd July 2017.

Damaris Warura Muchiru was born to the late Evan Michinji and Gladys Wambui Michinji on the 20th of July 1934 in Kihara, Kiambu. She was sister to the late David Mugenyu Michinji, Margaret Nyambura Mungai and Peter Njoroge Michinji.

She was the wife of the Late Mark Donald Muchiru Kanja (MD). She was mother of Kanja Muchiru, Kago Muchiru, Kuria Muchiru, Njenga Muchiru, Susan Muchiru and Angela Muchiru and mother in law to Muthoni Kuria.

She was the grandmother of Lula Wamoto, Nonny Gathoni, Muchiru Kuria, Mukami Kuria, Nyokabi Muchiru and Wangeci Muchiru. She was the great-grandmother of Phoebe Wamoto and Jaymie Wamoto.

Prayer meetings for friends and relatives wilt take place daily at the family home in Karen at 5.30pm
